Clare Bird Sightings

A Short-eared Owl flew over the airfield at Shannon this evening.(Phil Brennan)
A pair of Common Sandpiper was at Loch Gealán and another pair was at Knockaunroe Turlough in the Burren National Park.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Three male Yellowhammer were at a garden in Rinnamona in the Burren. Two Blackcap and two Whitethroat were singing nearby.(N & TL)
Seven Whitethroat and five Blackcap were singing at Gortlecka Cross/Mullaghmore area.(N & TL)
Four Yellowhammer were singing on Sliabh Rua close to Coolorta. Four Cuckoo were also singing in that area.(N & TL)
Seven Wheatear were between the Mullaghmore and Sliabh Rua area.(N & TL)
