Clare Bird Sightings

One Reed Warbler, a Brambling, two Blackcaps, four Chiffchaff, one Kingfisher, an adult Mediterranean Gull and a Merlin were the highlights from Loop Head and Kilbaha today. (Tony Mee & Phil Brennan)

There were 30 Whooper Swans at Farrihy and 90 Barnacle Geese on Mutton Island. (Elaine Keegan)
At Black Head there were 17 Black-throated Divers. (Geoff Pearson)
A female Hen Harrier, over 600 Wigeon, 320 Coot, 260 Lapwing, 210 Black-tailed Godwit, 160 Teal, 72 Shoveler, 59 Greylag Geese, 45 Mallard, 38 Tufted Duck, 27 Little Grebe, 24 Curlew, 21 Gadwall, 12 Pintail Duck, four Whooper Swan and two Little Egret were at Ballyallia.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
