Snow Bunting (Tom Fox)
A Snow Bunting was seen in the Ballyhoura Mountains today. This is the second record of this scarce species in the County since 1983, the other being on October 30th last year.
A flock of 24 Black-tailed Godwits was feeding in a flooded field beside the Dock Road/Tunnel approach intersection. Godwits have been seen using the fields in this area in the past, particularly after periods of wet weather, though not as close to the road as on this occasion.
