The female Marsh Harrier was seen hunting at Tool’s Lough again today.
One juvenile Hen Harrier wearing wing tags (orange on left, green on right) was seen hunting around Ballyallia Lake along with one Peregrine, two Little Egrets, 19 Whooper Swans and 30 Pintail.
Five Hen Harriers were tagged orange/green in W Clare in early July 2011 and each tag is marked with a letter or number that identifies the individual bird. It would be a great help if observers with telescopes could watch out for the identifier on this bird so that we can know which of the five it is.
