Clare Bird Sightings

Thursday 26th September 2013

A juvenile type Marsh Harrier was seen at Coonagh this evening (Tom Tarpey). The bird passed through the nature reserve and headed westwards along the estuary towards Bunratty. This is a first record of the species for Coonagh and only the second for the County in modern times. The first record was at Lough Gur earlier in the year on May 20th.
