Sunday 29th April 2007
In the hills south of Ballinruan, east Clare there were three Grasshopper
Warblers heard singing along with one Blackcap and one male Hen Harrier.
One Whitethroat was heard singing near Clahane, Liscannor.
One male Blackcap and a Peregrine were at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Saturday 28th April 2007
Six Yellowhammers were at Mullaghmore in the Burren.
Two White Wagtails and 20 Whimbrel were at Clahane, Liscannor.
A flock of 150 Whimbrel were at Liscannor.
Over 35 Whimbrel and a White Wagtail were on the beach at Quilty.
There were 100 Whimbrel and a Peregrine at Lough Donnell.
A Black-headed Gull was seen at Lahinch Marsh wearing yellow coloured
band on its left leg with the following details 283A (Dave McNamara).

One Blackcap was singing at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Thursday 26th April 2007
There was one Blackcap at Doora Industrial Estate on the Quin Road, Ennis.
Three Swifts were in Ennis Town.
Two Common Sandpipers were at Lough Bunny.
One Common Sandpiper was at O’Briens Lough near Crusheen.

Wednesday 25th April 2007
One Swift was seen in Ennis Town.
A small bunch of 21 Whinbrel flew North-West over
Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus this evening.
There was also a Water Rail calling at Ballycar Lake.

Tuesday 24th April 2007
A flock of 82 Whimbrel were on the south end of the
beach at Seafield, Quilty today.

Monday 23rd April 2007
There were 20 Whimbrel at Seafirld, Quilty with another 40 were
at Liscannor.
One male Merlin was at the White Strand, Doonbeg.  

Sunday 22nd April 2007
One male Blackcap was at the Lees Road Wood today.

Friday 20th April 2007
A male Grasshopper Warbler was singing near Kilfenora today.
A sedge Warbler ws heard singing at Roche in Clarecastle.
There was two Long-tailed Ducks at Liscannor.
A flock of 59 Whimbrel flew north westwards over Ballycar,
Newmarket-on-Fergus this evening.
There ws also one male Blackcap and one Water Rail at Ballycar.
One Raven was at Oak Park, Ennis this morning.

Thursday 19th April 2007
One adult Ring-billed Gull and two Whimbrel were on Quilty beach.
One Black-throated Diver and one Whimbrel were at Liscannor.
One Raven was at Ennis Friary.
Two Ravens were at Kilbaha.
Two Yellowhammers were at Ballycarrol, Barefield.
One male Blackcap was singing at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Wednesday 18th April 2007
One adult Ring-billed Gull and two Whimbrel were on Quilty beach.
One White Wagtail, one Black-throated Diver and one Whimbrel
were at Liscannor.
There was one Raven in Sixmilebridge this morning.
Two Ravens were in Tescos Car Park in Ennis.

Tuesday 17th April 2007
One Cuckoo was heard calling this morning at Darragh.
There were three Whimbrel at Liscannor.
One Raven was at the Clare Museum.
A large arrival House Martins were seen along the River Fergus
with over 20 at Clarecastle and another 20 in Ennis town. 
One Blackcap was sining at Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.

Monday 16th April 2007
There was one first-winter Iceland Gull at Clahane, Liscannor.
One first-winter Glaucous Gull at Seafield, Quilty.
One first-winter Mediterranean Gull at Lahinch.
One first winter Mediterannean Gull at Quilty wearing a green
band on its left leg.
One Blackcap was at the Lees Wood Road.
One Blackcap was at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Sunday 15th April 2007 
One male Cuckoo was heard calling at Loughaun North, Magera today.
This was the first bird recorded in Clare this year.
There was also one male Hen Harrier at Maghera.
Three Crossbills were at Kilnacreagh Wood, (two females& one Male).
One Blackcap was at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Saturday 14th April 2007
Four Crossbills were at Kilnacreagh Wood along with 10 Siskins.
At the Shannon Airport Lagoon there were 187 Redshank, 500 Black-tailed Godwits,
82 Shelduck and one Little Egret.
One Blackcap was singing at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
Two Jays were at the Lees Wood Road in Ennis.
One Carrion Crow was still at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Feregus.

Friday 13th April 2007
One first winter Glaocous Gull was at Kilkee.
A small flock of 13 Chough were at Illaunonearaun along with good breeding
numbers of Cormarants and Lesser Black-backed Gulls all being overlooked 
by a pair of Raven.
One Raven and eight Yellowhammers were at Mullaghmore in the Burren.
One Carrion Crow was at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Thursday 12th April 2007
A small flock of 21 Great Northern Divers were at the Flaggy Shore in north Clare.
Ten Yellowhammers were at Mullaghmore in the Burren.

Wednesday 11th April 2007
One male Blackcap was singing at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
One Raven was at the friary in Ennis.

Tuesday 10th April 2007
Two Jays were on the Lees Wood Road in Ennis.
One Yellowhammer was at Poulnabrone in the Burren.
A flock of 22 Great Northern Divers were off Bishops Quarter near Ballyvaughan.

Friday 6th April 2007
Two Red Grouse were at Mount Callan.
Over 23 Red-throated Divers were at Liscannor.

Thursday 5th April 2007
One Willow Warbler was heard calling at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
A pair of Ravens seem to be taking up residency at the Friary in Ennis.

Tuesday 3rd April 2007
There was one Swallow at Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
A flock of 146 Brent Geese were at Bishop’s Quarter in North Clare,
while an additional 133 Brent Geese were at Ballyvaughan.
One Yellowhammer was at Corconroe, the Burren.
Two first-winter Mediterannean Gulls and one Sandwich Tern
were on the beach at Quilty.
One female Hen Harrier was at Lough Donnell.
