There were an estimated 40,000-50,000 Redwings on the Loop Head
peninsula today along with 2,000 Song Thrushes, 3,000 Fieldfare,
3,000 Golden Plover and 2,000 Lapwing.
A first-winter Mediterranean Gull flew over Kilbaha.
A flock of 260 Barnacle Geese were at Moveen, Kilkee.
Six Whooper Swans were at Tullagher Bog.
One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar.
Wednesday 30th December 2009
One Woodcock was at Moanreel.
One male Blackcap was still at Applewood, Ballycar.
A male and female Blackcap were still in a garden at Oak Park Ennis.
Tuesday 29th December 2009
A flock of 230 Barnacle Geese were at Moveen, Kilkee.
A male and female Blackcap were in the same garden at Oak Park Ennis.
One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar.
One female Blackcap was at Elm Park, Ennis.
Monday 28th December 2009
Six Black-throated Divers were at Ballyvaughan.
One male Blackcap is still at Applewood, Ballycar.
A male and female Blackcap were in a garden in Oak Park Ennis this morning.
One female Blackcap was in Elm Park, Ennis.

One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar.
Saturday 26th December 2009
One male and one female Blackcaps were at Applewood, Ballycar.
Also one Water Rail and 20 Whoopers Swans were at Ballycar Lough, 
Newmarket-on-Fergus.
Friday 25th December 2009
There were two Little Egrets at Illaunamanagh, Shannon Town.
Thursday 24th December 2009
One Woodcock and two Jack Snipe were near Lough Rath, Corofin.
One Jack Snipe was at Ballyallia.
One Jack Snipe was t Lough Inchiquin.
Thee were 20 Goldeneye at Lough Muchanagh. 
One male and one female Blackcap were at the Oakwood Arms, Shannon.  
One Water Rail was at Ballycar Lough.
Wednesday 23rd December 2009
There were 44 Greenland White-fronted Geese and 20 Goldeneye at
Lough Muchanagh, the Burren.
One female Hen Harrier, 30 Pintail and 100 Snipe, 100 Black-tailed Godwits,
and 30 Whooper Swans  were at Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.

Monday 21st December 2009
There were 17 Greenland White-fronted Geese and five Whooper Swans at Tullagher Bog.
One Little Egret was at Doora, Ennis.
Sunday 20th December 2009
One Male Blackcap was at Willow Park, Ennis.

One first-winter Ring-billed Gull was at Seafield. Quilty.
Thursday 17th December 2009
There were 43 Greenland White-fronted Geese at Lough Muchanagh.
A flock of 48 Gadwall were at Lough Inchiquin.
Two Dippers were at the Falls, Ennistymon.
A good count of 52 Moorhens were at New Quay Lake.

There were 25 Red-throated Divers off Liscannor.
A flock of 22 Brent Geese were at Clahane.
Four Woodcock were at Lickeen Lake.
One Woodcock was at Clifden Hill. Corofin.
There were 26 Gadwall at Lough Inchiquin.
One male Blackcap was at Willow Park, Ennis.
Tuesday 15th December 2009
One Jay was at Lough Gash, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
One Jay was at Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.
A flock of 44 Greylag Geese, nine Whooper Swans and one Water Rail was at 
Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Monday 14th December 2009
There were 11 Black-throated Divers, 20 Great Northern Divers and 50 Common
Scoter off Finvarra Point.
There were 120 Brent Geese at Lough Murree.
One Little Egret was at the Sloblands outside Clarecastle.
One Water Rail was at Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

One Black Redstart and 28 Stonechats were at Clahane, Lisscannor.
A flock of 42 Greylag Geese and two Water Rails were at Ballycar Lough.
Six Woodcock were at Clifden Hill, Corofin.
Saturday 12th December 2009
At Ballyallia this morning there were 23 Whooper Swan, two Jay, six Gadwall and seven Pintail Duck.
The male Wheatear, six Purple Sandpipers  and two Black-throated Divers were at the Flaggy Shore.
Four Little Egrets were at Moyasta.
A flock of 70 Whooper Swans were at Mount Shannon.

Friday 11th December 2009
One Twite was at Clahane, Liscannor.
Thursday 10th December 2009
Four Black-throated Divers were off the Finvarra Point .
At the Flaggy Shore there were 72 Great Northern Divers and 16 Purple Sandpipers.
A flock of 58 Whooper Swans were at Kells Lake, the Burren.
At the Shannon Airport Lagoon there were two Little Egrets, 3,000 Dunlin,
800 Lapwing, seven Whooper Swans, 36 Shoveler and three Water Rails.

Wednesday 9th December
A Jay was seen in Lees Road Wood.
Tuesday 8th December 2009
The 26 Whooper Swans were still at Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
One male Blackcap was at Ballymacahill, Ennis.
Monday 7th December 2009
One Snow Bunting, 80 Purple Sandpipers and 150 Sanderling were at Seafield Quilty.
Five Purple Sandpipers were at Clahane.
There were 12 Woodcock at Clifden Hill, Corofin.
One Little Egret was at the Doora Business Park on the Quin Road in Ennis.
There were 26 Whooper Swans at Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Sunday 6th December 2009
A flock of 90 Barnacle Geese were at Moveen, Kilkee.
There were nine Whooper Swans at Farrihy Lake.
Saturday 5th December 2009
A drake Green-winged Teal was back at Bell Harbour (Finbarr McGabhann, John N Murphy 
& Brian Arthurs).
One male Wheatear was at the Flaggy Shore along with 20 Great Northern Divers.
Four Black throated Divers and a Merlin were near Aughinish Island.
Four Sandwich Terns were seen between the Flaggy Shore and Doorus Pier.
Tuesday 2nd December 2009
One male Wheatear, 35 Great Northern Divers and five Purple Sandpipers
were at the Flaggy Shore, New Quay.
There were 18 Black-throated Divers, 30 Great Northerns and two Purple 
Sandpipers off Finvarra Point.
There were two Little Egrets and 20 Whooper Swans at the New Line Turlough.
