Turtle Dove in Gibson’s Garden Kilbaha John N Murphy
One Turtle Dove was at Kilbaha today along with one Spotted Flycatcher, one Willow Warbler and one Chiffchaff. There were two Bonxies, one Arctic Skua and 12 Sooty Shearwaters off the Bridges of Ross. One first-winter Mediterranean Gull was at Ross Bay along with one White Wagtail. One first-winter Mediterranean Gull was off the tip of Loop Head and one Common Scoter. In the lighthouse garden this morning there were 100’s of Meadow Pipits and six Reed Buntings. A flock of 40 Wheatears were on the head along with 36 Chough and a Peregrine. One Water Rail, two Greenshank and a Whimbrel were at Cloghaun Lough. Three White Wagtails were Kilcredaun Marsh. One adult and one first-winter Mediterranean Gulls were at Poulnasherry Bay.
