A Red-eyed Vireo was found at Loop Head this morning in a field  along the road to the Lighthouse. (John N. Murphy & Finbarr MacGabhann)(9.50). The bird remained in the same area up to 15.30 but was not seen after this time.  This is a fifth county record of this rare North American vagrant.  Also at Loop Head were one Turtle Dove, one Yellow Wagtail, one Chiffchaff, 80 Skylark, 50 Golden Plover and two Whimbrel.  One Bonxie and one Arctic Skua were off the tip of Loop Head this morning.
