White-fronted Goose with immature Whooper Swans © James Hayes

A White-fronted Goose was seen with a group of five Whooper Swans in a field on the Kildimo side of the Ferry Bridge (James Hayes).
A flock of 29 Whooper Swans were at Newtown, Clarina. Large numbers of Fieldfares and Redwings were also seen in the same area.
Seven Jays were at Currachase.

A Spotted Redshank, 30 Grey Plover and five Little Egrets were ar Pollaweala Creek.
A flock of 800 Golden Plover were at Robertstown.

Eight Whooper Swans were seen flying south over Broadford this morning. Winter is on the way!
A Long-eared Owl was seen at Cluggin, Oola last night.

A dead Barn Owl was found on the N21 east of Rathkeale. This is the second Barn Owl road casualty found near Rathkeale this year.
A Wheatear and a Raven were at Gortadroma landfill.
50 Curlew, 16 Redshank, three Greenshank, two Lapwing and ten Mallard were at Loughill.

Juvenile Sedge Warbler at Coonagh ©James Hayes

A Barn Owl was seen at Glenwilliam, Ballingarry.
Two late staying Sedge Warblers were seen at Coonagh. Other birds of note there included 23 Wigeon, nine Pochard, four Gadwall, 16 Snipe, two Water Rails and a Raven.

149 Golden Plover, 62 Curlew, 60 Redshank, 16 Greenshank and a Knot were at Robertstown.
Further down the estaury two Spotted Redshank were at Bunnaclugga, Kerry.
