One Sand Martin was at Ballysimon this morning.
Two Willow Warblers and a Chiffchaff were in song at Cratloe East, Athea. This is the first Willow Warbler record of the year in Limerick. Nine Golden Plover were also seen in the area.

Three Sand Martins were seen on the River Mulkear at Castletroy. These are the first recorded in the County this year.
A Hen Harrier was seen near Cooperhill, Mungret.

A Chiffchaff was at the Charleville Lagoons this evening along with 70 Tufted Duck, 68 Wigeon, 50 Teal, ten Shoveler, six Pochard, three Shelduck, 19 Mute Swans and a Whooper Swan.
A lone Crossbill was seen at Glenanair.

A flock of 15 Fieldfares was seen moving northwards at Glenanair today.

185 Tufted Duck, 102 Wigeon, 62 Teal, 14 Shoveler, four Gadwall, a Scaup, seven Great-crested Grebes and 88 Coot were at Lough Gur.

A Ruff was seen at the Coonagh Ponds this morning. Other notable species counts there included 32 Shoveler, eight Gadwall, 93 Tufted Duck and a roosting flock of 185 Redshank and six Greenshank. A Buzzard was also heard calling near by.
Five Crossbills were seen at Glenanair in the Ballyhoura Mountains.

Second winter Mediterranean Gull at O’Callaghan’s Strand ©Tom Tarpey

A 2nd-winter Mediterranean Gull, a 2nd-winter Iceland Gull and an adult Ring-billed Gull were at Harvey’s Quay today.
A Crossbill was seen at Coolfree in the Ballyhoura Mountains.
An flavistic Chaffinch was seen in a garden in Loghill. This bird apparently has a rare genetic defect causing it to show yellowish plumage. It has been present in Loghill for the last two to three winters.
