Monday 11th May 2020

Two Scottish colour-ringed Lesser Black-backed Gulls were in Limerick City today. White 25E:C, a 4cy bird from Horse Isle, Ardrossan on the Firth of Clyde, was also seen in the City last September on its autumn passage southwards. The second bird, White 35C:C, also from Horse Isle, was ringed as a chick on 14/7/2018.

Sunday 10th May 2020

Seven Reed Warblers, 16 Gadwall, 13 Swifts, 79 Sand Martins, a Whitethroat and a Buzzard were at Coonagh.

Saturday 9th May 2020

Two drake Garganeys were at Coonagh (TT).
Brendan, a 4cy White-tailed Eagle from the Iveragh, Co. Kerry arrived in the Galtees on its first long distance movement out of it’s natal area.

Tuesday 5th May 2020

Two Swifts were at Monaleen (TT).

Monday 4th May 2020

Two Buzzards were at Adare and one at Crecora (Derek Casey).

Sunday 3rd May 2020

A Reed Warbler, 26 Whimbrel, nine Gadwall and a House Martin were at Coonagh.
A Buzzard was at Crecora.

Saturday 2nd May 2020

A Cuckoo was at Gooig Bog (Paul O’Connell).
Two Buzzards were at Crecora (Derek Casey).

Friday 1st May 2020

A Swift was at Rossbrien.
25 Whimbrel flew down river at Adare.

Thursday 30th April 2020

110 Whimbrel were at the Lax Weir and a Dipper was at the mill stream, Mill Road, Corbally.

Wednesday 29th April 2020

Two Swift were at Coonagh.(Cliff Baxter)
