A wet bedraggled Whinchat at Loop Head John N Murphy

A juvenile American Golden Plover was in the Plover fields at Loop Head this afternoon along with 200 Golden Plover, 49 Snipe and one Dunlin. (John N Murphy)
At Loop Head and Kilbaha there was one Whinchat near the Lighthouse along with one Snow Bunting, four Wheatear, while in the village there was one Willow Warbler, 12 Redpoll and one Goldcrest and one male Peregrine. (John N. Murphy)
A juvenile Turtle Dove was at Cloonbeg off the Lahinch Road, Ennis this morning.(Howard Williams)

A juvenile WHITE-TAILED EAGLE flew west over Applewood, Ballycar this morning in the direction of Newmarket-on-Fergus Village being mobbed by crows (10.45). (John N Murphy)
A juvenile WHITE-TAILED EAGLE flew past the Cliffs of Moher this evening mobbed by Chough. (17.15) (Cormac McGinley)
A Hoopoe was visiting a garden east of Sixmilebridge throughout the day. This birds has been in this area for the last six weeks. (Brian Kennedy) It is only the 14th county record.
One Buzzard, a female Hen Harrier, four Water Rail, two Little Egrets, 60 Curlew and 70 Wigeon were at Lahinch Marsh (Dave McNamara).

At Loop head and Kilbaha today there was one male Merlin, one male Peregrine two Wheatear, three Swallow, two Chiffchaff, one Goldcrest, 40 Reed Bunting and 18 Chough. (John N Murphy)
Off the Bridges of Ross there were five Sooty Shearwaters, 12 Manx Shearwaters, one Arctic Skua, one Pomarine Skua, one Bonxie, two Grey Phalaropes, one Black Guillemot, two Red-throated Divers and 12 Chough. (John N Murphy)
A juvenile Hen Harrier flew over Mullagh Village (Dave McNamara).
One Bonxie, ten Chough and two Raven and a Merlin were at Bishop’s Island, Kilkee this morning (John & Dixie Collins).

At the Bridges of Ross today there were two Long-tailed Skuas, 12 Pomarine Skuas, 16 Arctic Skuas, 20 Bonxies, two Leach’s Petrels, 15 Storm Petrels, eight Sabine’s Gulls, 50 Sooty Shearwaters, ten Grey Phalaropes and eight Red-throated Divers. (Geoff Pearson)
Two second-winter Mediterranean Gulls were at the Lahinch Bridge on the Inagh River estuary.(Jeff Copner)
One female Hen Harrier, one Peregrine, three Water Rail and one Little Egret were at Lahinch Marsh. (Dave McNamara)
At Lough Gash this evening there was one Green Sandpiper, 80 Black-tailed Godwits, 50 Teal and seven Shoveler. (John N Murphy)

At Loop Head today there were 20 Lapland Buntings, eight Wheatears, one juvenile Hen Harrier, one adult and one first-winter Mediterranean Gulls and two Swallows. (John N Murphy, Tom & Nuala Lynch and Jeff Copner)
At the Bridges of Ross this morning (9.30-13.30), there were four Arctic Skuas, one Bonxie, two Pomarine Skuas, three Great Shearwaters, two Sooty Shearwaters, 15 Brent Geese, six Red-throated Divers, two Common Scoter, 17 Chough and 1,000 Guillemots per hour. (Jim Bowman)

At the Bridges of Ross this afternoon (14.00 – 16.00) there was one adult and one juvenile Sabine’s Gulls, one second-year Long-tailed Skua, five Arctic Skuas, one Bonxie, two Sooty Shearwaters, one Leach’s Petrels, one Storm Petrel, 18 Arctic Terns, 16 Snipe, four Grey Phalaropes, 13 Brent Geese, two Red-throated Divers and two Peregrines. Pied Flycatcher at Loop Head (John N Murphy)

One Pied Flycatcher was at Marty Lillis’s garden in Kilbaha (Aidan G Kelly & John N Murphy), along with one immature Hen Harrier, one Merlin, one Willow Warbler, one Chiffchaff, ten Wheatears, 35 Lapland Buntings, one adult and one first-winter Mediterranean Gulls.
One Lapland Bunting, two Curlew Sandpipers and one Spotted Redshank were at Moyasta, Poulnasherry Bay. (Aidan G Kelly)

An adult Whinchat, nine Lapland Buntings, six Wheatears, a Peregrine and 36 Golden Plover were at Loop Head this afternoon (Tom Tarpey).
At the Bridges of Ross there were 511 Sooty Shearwaters, one Balearic Sjearwater, 2200 Manx Shearwaters, eight Leach’s Petrels, 61 Storm Petrels, 167 Bonxies, 30 Pomarine Skuas, 36 Arctic Skuas, 14 Long-tailed Skuas (1 adult, 1 sub-adult & 12 juveniles), ten Sabine’s Gulls (4 adults & 6 juveniles), 211 ArcticTerns, 41 Sandwich Terns, one juvenile Black Tern, 30 Grey Phalaropes, 15 Puffins, 20 Red-throated Divers and six Common Scoter.
