Baird’s Sandpiper at Ballyvaughan Nick Larter

I received an email from Nick Larter (11th September), with the above photo attached saying he saw this bird and photographed it on the Rine in Ballyvaughan with some Dunlin. Only on seeing Paul Troakes photo on the web site on 10th of this month did he realise he had overlooked this as a Dunlin.
There were three Sooty Shearwaters, four Bonxies, two Arctic Skuas and three Leach’s Petrels at the Bridges of Ross. (Conor Foley)
