At Ross, Loop Head between 08.45-10.45 there were 43 Great Shearwater, six Cory’s Shearwater, 12 Sooty Shearwater, one intermediate 2CY type Long-tailed Skua, three Pomarine Skua, 16 Sandwich Tern and eight Arctic Tern.(John N. Murphy)

At Ross this afternoon there were eight Sooty Shearwater, one Arctic Skua, one Puffin and an immature Hen Harrier.(John N. Murphy)

At Ross Kilbaha between 10.00-12.30 there were two Cory’s Shearwater, 14 Sooty Shearwater, two Long-tailed Skua, three Pomarine Skua, one Great Skua, one Leach’s Petrel, 17 Arctic Tern and two Sandwich Tern.(John N. Murphy)

Saturday 26th August 2023

At the Bridges of Ross between 06.30-13.00 there were 40 Cory’s Shearwater, two Pomarine Skua, eight Great Skua, six Arctic Skua, one adult Sabine’s Gull and two 1st winter Little Gull.(Brian McCloskey et al)

At the Bridges of Ross this morning there were 22 Cory’s Shearwater, one Balearic Shearwater, two Sooty Shearwater, one Storm Petrel, two Arctic Skua, three Pomarine Skua, one Great Skua, one Long-tailed Skua, one Sabine’s Gull and nine Common Scoter.(Keith Langdon et al)
At the Bridges of Ross between 01.30-18.30 the following were reported-one Fea’s Petrel(Keith Langdon), three Cory’s Shearwater, two Balearic Shearwater, four Sooty Shearwater, ten Arctic Skua, five Great Skua, one Sabine’s Gull and four Grey Phalarope. At Ross between 12.30-14.30 there were 39 Cory’s Shearwater, one Storm Petrel and 15 Whimbrel.(John N. Murphy)
