At Ross between 12.30-14.30 there were 39 Cory’s Shearwater, one Storm Petrel and 15 Whimbrel.(John N. Murphy)
One Kingfisher was at Kilbaha along with a flock of 95 Oystercatcher, 70 Curlew and 45 Turnstone at Ross Bay.(John N. Murphy)
One Buzzard was at Kilnaboy and another at Dysart.(James Organ)

At the Bridges of Ross between 06.30-08.45 there were 72 Cory’s Shearwater, eight Sooty Shearwater, one Arctic Skua, one Great Skua and three Storm Petrel.(Paul Lynch)

At the Bridges of Ross this morning between 06.45-09.45 there were 92 Cory’s Shearwater, five Sooty Shearwater, one Great Shearwater and five Arctic Skua.(Declan Murphy)


Monday 14th August 2023

At Ross, Loop Head this morning between 09.30-12.30 there were 160 Cory’s Shearwater, one dark-phased Arctic Skua, six Sooty Shearwater and 14 Whimbrel.(John N. Murphy)
At the Bridges of Ross between 15.30-1930, 430 Cory’s Shearwater, seven Sooty Shearwater, two adult Sabine’s Gull and one Arctic Skua were recorded(Declan Murphy)

At the Bridges of Ross over 3000 Cory’s Shearwater, 25 Great Shearwater and five Sooty Shearwater were recorded over a period of six hours.(Jeoff Pearson)

A SCOPOLI’S SHEARWATER flew west past the Bridges of Ross this morning.
Also at Bridges of Ross between 06.00 and 17.00 was one Wilson’s Storm Petrel, 836 Cory’s Shearwater, 94 Great Skua, 55 Sooty Shearwater, six adult Sabine’s Gull, one Long-tailed Skua, two Pomarine Skua, four Great Skua and three Arctic Skua. Friday 11th August 2023
