Monday 15th August 2011

An immature Black Guillemot was found on the Shannon at the Mill Road in Limerick City. He was returned to the sea in west Clare.
Two juvenile Red Grouse, a juvenile Hen Harrier, a Merlin and Blackcap were seen in the Mullaghareirk Mts.

Monday 8th August 2011

One second-winter and one immature Mediterranean Gulls were at Tarbert Bay along with two Little Egrets, one Peregrine, two Common Sandpipers and one Whimbrel.
One second-winter Mediterranean Gull was at Foynes.
One Spotted Redshank and two Common Sandpipers were at Loghill.
A Green Sandpiper was at Gortadroma Landfill Site.
A Ruff, a Little Egret and two Kingfishers were at Robertstown Creek.
Three Little Egrets were on the Maigue River at Adare.

One first year Mediterranean Gull was at Tarbert Bay along with two Common Sandpipers, one Little Egret, one Whimbrel, 120 Redshank, 140 Curlew, three Dunlin, 16 Greenshank, eight Shelduck and ten Great Crested Grebes.
One Common Sandpiper was at Aughinish Island Reserve.
One Common Sandpiper was on the Deel River at Askeaton.
One Common Sandpiper, one Pochard, 23 Tufted Duck, four Mallard, eight Little Grebes, two Great-crested Grebes, 26 Mute Swans and
90 Coot were at Coonagh.

Two Spotted Redshanks, one juvenile Ruff and a Common Sandpiper were at Robertstown Creek.
Three Common Sandpipers were at Foynes.
Two Common Sandpipers were at Loghill.

At the Coonagh Settlement Ponds today were a pair of Gadwall, one female Shoveler, 30 Tufted Ducks, 80 Coot and three Emperor Dragonflies (two males and one female).
