At the Bridges of Ross today there was one Great Shearwater, one Balearic Shearwater,430 Sooty Shearwaters, one Blue Fulmar, five Leach’s Petrels, 80 Storm Petrels, 37 Great Skua, six Pomarine Skuas, 20 Arctic Skuas, one adult Long-tailed Skua, 30 Sabine’s Gulls, one juvenile Little Gull, ten Sandwich Terns, one Common Tern, 75 Arctic Terns 13 Puffins, one Black Guillemot, 25 Common Scoters, two adult Red-throated Divers, 29 Light-bellied Brent Geese and 20 Whimbrels. there were also three Bottlenose Dolphins and three Sunfish,
Five juvenile Sabine’s Gulls were hanging around the Blue pools in Kilkee, while a Bonxie passed by just a little further out to sea.
There were nine Crossbills at Darragh today.
There were two Common Sandpiper, 15 Whimbrels and 15 Bar-tailed Godwits at Doonbeg.

Between 6.45 & 19.30 today at the Bridges of Ross there was: one Wilson’s Storm Petrel (John N Murphy), four Great Shearwaters, four Balearic Shearwaters, 4,500 Sooty Shearwaters, 10,000 Manx Shearwaters, two Blue Fulmars, 21 Leach’s Petrels, 80 Storm Petrels, 83 Bonxies, 12 Pomarine Skuas, 44 Arctic Skuas, two adult Long-tailed Skuas, 73 Sabine’s Gulls, two Black Terns, 261 Arctic Terns, two Common Terns, four Sandwich Terns, one Common Scoter, one Great Northern Diver, 26 Whimbrel and 43 Puffins.
Two Crossbills were at Gort Coirce, Dysert.
One female Hen Harrier was at Lough Atedaun.

Today at the Bridges of Ross on what was a dreadfully wet day, there was one Wilson’s Storm Petrel (13:50) (Keith Langdon, Reg Land & Dave Farrow), 210 Sooty Shearwater, one Balearic Shearwater, 1,000 Manx Shearwater, one Blue Fulmar, seven Leach’s Petrel, 29 Storm Petrel, nine Great Skua (Bonxie), one Pomarine Skua, three Arctic Skua, one juvenile Sabine’s Gull, 12 Arctic Tern, nine Sandwich Tern, seven Common Scoter, five Red-throated Diver, one Great Northern Diver, 68 Puffin, 12 Sanderlings and 16 Whimbrel.

There were three Great Shearwaters, one Balearic Shearwater, 550 Sooty Shearwaters, 6,000 Manx Shearwaters, three Leach’s Petrels, ten Storm Petrels, one Grey Phalarope, five Bonxies, five Arctic Skuas, three Sabine’s Gulls (2 adults & 1 2nd cal), one first-winter Little Gull, 22 Arctic Terns, one Red-throated Diver, eight Common Scoters, three Puffins, 12 Bar-tailed Godwits and four Whimbrels.
At Finvarra Point there was one juvenile Sabine’s Gull, three Storm Petrels and six Arctic Skuas.
There were eight Curlew Sandpipers on the mudflats at the Shannon Airport lagoon this lunchtime, while in the lagoon itself there were nine Little Egrets, 1,600 Black-tailed Godwits, three Bar-tailed Godwits, one Turnstone, 12 Shoveler, 80 Teal and three Water Rails.
One Curlew Sandpiper, one Common Sandpiper and one Kingfisher were at Doonbeg Lough.
There were 200 Sanderling at Doughmore Beach.
One Curlew Sandpiper and two Chough were at Seafield.

At the Bridges of Ros today there was, one Fea’s Petel (15.10)(Niall T Keogh, John N Murphy et al), along with 18 Great Shearwaters, three Balearic Shearwaters, 1,000 Sooty Shearwaters, 7,000 Manx Shearwaters, one Blue Fulmar, 14 Leache’s Petrels, 11 Storm Petrels, seven Bonxies, two Pomarine Skuas, 20 Arctic Skuas, seven adult Sabine’s Gull, one juvenile Black Tern, 7 Arctic Terns, two Sandwich Terns, 17 Puffins, 19 Common Scoters, 33 Whimbrel, nine Turnstones, 14 Knot and for Sanderling.
One Spotted Flycatcher was in Gibsons Garden, Kilbaha, while 150 Wheatears and 250 Meadow Pipits were all over the headland.
Four Curlew Sandpipers, 15 Knot and a Merlin were at the Shannon Airport Lagoon.
Two Crossbills were in a garden at Darragh.
There was one Ruff at Seafield, another two Ruff were at Lough Atedaun.
Nine Crossbills and one Jay were at Gort Coirce, Dysert.
Four Crossbills were at Lickeen Lake.
One Peregrine was at Lahinch Marsh.

A Scaup, seven Pochard, 30 Tufted Duck, two Great-crested Grebes, 11 Little Grebes, 45 Mute Swans, 200 Coot and a Snipe were at the Coonagh Settlement Ponds.

At the Bridges of Ross today there was three Great Shearwater, eight large Shearwaters, three Balearic Shearwater, 384 Sooty Shearwaters, 2,000 Manx Shearwaters, one adult Long-tailed Skua, five Pomarine Skuas, 27 Arctic Skuas, 11 Bonxies, three Sabine’s Gulls, one juvenile Black Tern, 350 Fulmars, 33 Arctic Terns, 23 Storm Petrels, one Sandwich Tern, five Puffins, 90 Razorbills, 16 Common Scoter, one Red-throated Diver, four Whimbrels and three Pintails. There were also six Bottlenose Dolphin, eight Common Dolphins and two Sunfish.
There were six Common Scoters at Lahinch.
