Up to 20 Waxwings were seen at the side of the N18 northbound lane, just north of the Bunratty flyover junction.
There were 13 Waxwings were seen at Woodlands on the Lahinch Road, Ennis. Elsewhere in Ennis four Waxwings were seen at the Westgate Retail Park and five at the Cahercalla junction opposite Cootes Shop on the Kilrush Road.

A female type Marsh Harrier was seen at Tubber (Howard Williams).
At Coranroo, on the Clare/Galway border, there were three Spotted Redshanks, one adult Med Gull and two Gadwall.
There was one Waxwing and a Peregrine at Flaggy.
Three Barn Owls were seen near Dromoland Castle.

There were 16 Black-throated Divers off Gleninagh Castle near Black Head (Jeff Copner).
Another three Black-throated Divers were between Aughinish Island and Doorus (Dave McNamara).

At least three Waxwings were seen in a garden in Huntsfield, Dooradoyle today.
A Blackcap was also seen in the area. This is the first Blackcap report so far this winter.

A Waxwing was seen in a private garden in Huntsfield, Dooradoyle today. This is the first Limerick report in what is looking like a major eruption of the species into the country. A minor influx occurred locally between December 2010 and March 2011, however the last major influx into the County occurred in February 2005.

The first-winter drake Lesser Scaup was still at Lough Gash (John N Murphy).
There were 12 Little Auks and nine Black-throated Divers at Ballyvaughan (Eric Dempsey).

The young drake Lesser Scaup was still at Lough Gash (John N Murphy), along with one drake Greater Scaup, ten Gadwall and 160 Tufted Ducks.
A flock of 35 Waxwings were on the Tulla Road in Ennis this afternoon.
Another four Waxwings were near O’Keeffe’s Oil Depot near the Watery Road in the late afternoon.
One individual Waxwing was at the New Road Roundabout earlier in the morning.
Ten Whooper Swans were at Ballycar Lough this morning.
There were 30 Whooper Swans at Scarriff Bay just outside Mount Shannon this morning.

A Surf Scoter was at Lahinch, Liscannor Bay (Jeff Copner).
One first-winter Iceland Gull was also at Liscannor.
One little Egret was at Lahinch Marsh.
One kingfisher was at Lickeen Lough.
Four Greylag Geese and two Water Rails were at Ballycar Lough.
Three Woodcock were at Lough Cullaun, the Burren.
