A flock of 42 White-fronted Geese were near Lough Muchanagh. There were 300 Golden Plover at Lough George. On flood-planes near Tarmon on the Clare/Galway border there were two separate flocks of Tufted Ducks totaling 312 birds along with 15 Pochard, 50 Wigeon and 42 Shoveler.

Two to three Hawfinches were at the Curraghchase this morning (John N Murphy). The third winter Yellow-legged Herring Gull was at Thomond Weir (John N Murphy. One Waxwing was at Castletroy. The colour ringed Common Gull, Red ring with white lettering AE02 was at the slipway at St.Micheal’s Rowing Club.

One BramblIng and one male plus two female Blackcaps were in a garden at Ashfield Park in Ennis. One male Blackcap was at Oakpark, Sixmilebridge. Five Little Egrets, two Woodcock and two Water Rails were at the Falls, Ennistymon. One Peregrine and two Purple Sandpipers were at Clahane. One Merlin was at Ben Dash. One Jay was near Lough Inchiquin. A flock of 22 Greylag Geese and two Water Rails were at Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-Fergus. Sixty Whooper Swans were at Ballygireen.

A Jack Snipe was at Bunlicky along with 203 Tufted Duck, 2 Goldeneye, 500 Lapwing and 47 Curlew, while many of the 147 Cormorants there were occupying nests at the breeding colony.
Seven Whooper Swans were at Herbertstown.
A Hen Harrier, 70 Wigeon, 67 Tufted Duck and 12 Gadwall were at Lough Gur.
Male Blcakcaps was seen again at Monaleen and Ballingarry.

There were five Little Egrets, four Woodcock and three Water Rails at the Falls, Ennistymon this evening. A flock of 35 White-fronted Geese were at lough Muchanagh. Eight Pintail Duck, twenty four Gadwall and a flock of 250 Lapwing were at Ballyallia Lake.
A male Blackcap was at Oak Park Ennis. One male Blackcap was at Oakwood, Sixmilebridge. One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar. One Woodcock was at Ballymacraven, Ennistymon.

A Buzzard was seen near Ballycorick, Ballynacally today (Tom Slattery).There were 320 Black-tailed Godwits, 17 Greylag Geese and ten Whooper Swans at Lough Atedaun. At lough Inchiquin there were 46 Gadwall. A flock of 160 Common Scoter were at Liscannor. One Dipper, one Woodcock and three Ravens were at the Glebe, Ennistymon. One Jay and one Raven were at Darragh.
