Late staying Blackcap at Monaleen ©Tom Tarpey
A Blackcap was seen at Monaleen. Wintering Blackcaps appear to have stayed late this year while there is still no sign of the summer visitors. The males usually arrive first in the early days of April, followed a week or so later by the females.
