The Glossy Ibis was at the Coonagh Nature Reserve again this morning during the high tide. A pair of Garganey was also present on the lower lagoon along with six Gadwall and two Little Egrets. A Cuckoo was also present.

Two Yellowhammer, four Blackcap and three Skylark were singing along the Green Road that stretches from Gortlecka Cross to North Commons. Two Raven were in the same area. A Common Sandpiper was at Lough Gealán. Two Little Egret were at Knockaunroe Turlough.

The Glossy Ibis was seen going to roost at the Coonagh Nature Reserve this evening (Barry Henn). A Cuckoo and a Peregrine Falcon were also present. The Peregrine was hunting a murmurating Starling flock.

A Glossy Ibis was seen at the Coonagh Nature Reserve today(Tom Tarpey) along with five Little Egrets, a drake Gadwall and a pair of Common Terns. The Ibis was feeding and roosting at the spit in the lower lagoon and eventually flew eastwards towards the City.

The Clare/Limerick Branch annual boat trip under the Cliffs of Moher proved very enjoyable. A calm sea allowed good views of Puffin, Common Guillemot,(by far the most numerous species on view) Razorbill, Kittiwake, Fulmar, Shag and Gannet. At a glance the number of seabirds seems to be holding up well although some felt that the amount of Razorbill in the area was not as sizeable as other years.

Two Jay were in Lees Road Wood. Five Blackcap were also singing there. Around eighty Swift were feeding over Ballyallia Lake this evening.

The SNOWY OWL was seen again today on Gleninagh Hill by a group of hill walkers (per Maura Turner).
