Two Wheatears, a White Wagtail, three Skylarks, two Ravens and two Snipe were seen near the lighthouse at Loop Head this morning. A female Hen Harrier, a Peregrine, a Kestrel, 48 Golden Plover, five Skylarks and 12 Chough were at Fodry. Two Goldcrests, six Swallows, two Sand Martins and a Chaffinch were at Kilbaha. A Greenshank, five Redshank, seven Curlew and seven Teal were at the lough. (Tom Tarpey).

A adult Mediterranean Gull was at Tarbert Bay.
170 Dunlin, 80 Ringed Plover and three Turnstone were at the high tide roost at Glin (Geoff Hunt).

There were two Carrion Crows, six Raven 44 Golden Plover, 26 Chough, 14 Snipe 14 Redpoll, three Wheatears and one Peregrine around Loop Head Lighthouse this morning. One Little Egret, two Willow Warblers, two Black-tailed Godwits and 20 Collared Doves were at Kilbaha village. (John N Murphy)

At the Bridges of Ross there were two juvenile Sabine’s Gulls, 13 Leaches Petrels, two Balearic Shearwaters, 86 Sooty Shearwaters, 17 Manx Shearwaters, three Pomarine Skuas, 13 Bonxies, nine Arctic Skuas, 13 Puffin, one Black-throated Diver, nine Red-throated Divers, one Grey Phalarope, ten Common Scoter, 18 Sandwich Terns, nine Arctic Terns and one Black Guillemot. There was one first-winter Little Tern, five Sooty Shearwaters and ten Sandwich Terns at Doolin. (John N Murphy)

Dotterel at the Fodry Loop Head John N Murphy

Sea watching throughout the day between the Fodry and the Bridges of Ross produced seven Red-throated Divers, 28 Brent Geese, one Balearic Shearwater, 32 Sooty Shearwaters, five Leach’s Petrels, 21 Common Scoters, ten Boxies, one Pomarine Skua, 11 Arctic Skuas, two Black Terns, two Grey Phalaropes and 18 Sandwich Terns (John N Murphy, Geoff Pearson, Noel Keogh & Brian Porter).
