The juvenile White-tailed Eagle that had been stating around the Mellon Point area has moved northwards to south Galway in the past week (Golden Eagle Trust).

An adult winter Ring-billed Gull was at Bishop’s Quay, Limerick City today. This is presumed to be the same bird that has wintered on the river in the City for at least six previous winters.
A Whooper Swan, 38 Mute Swans, 18 Gadwall, two Shoveler, six Teal, nine Redshank, six Lapwing, 25 Snipe and two Water Rails were at Coonagh today.
