A Goosander was seen at Corbally Weir this evening (Maura Turner). The 3rd winter Yellow-legged Gull was also present in the area earlier in the day (TT).
The Great Northern Diver was also seen again on the Shannon between the railway bridge and the tail race confluence (TT).

The male Black Redstart is at Our Lady’s Hospital in Ennis this morning (John N Murphy).
One adult Ring-billed Gull was at Seafield, Quilty (John N Murphy).

Little Egret(Black F, Yellow D) at Adare ©Geoff hunt

Three Green Sandpipers, six Redshank, a Greenshank, two Little Egrets and a Kingfisher were seen on the Maigue Estuary at Adare (Geoff Hunt). The colour-ringed Little Egret was ring as a nestling at Ardfry, Oranmore, Co. Galway on 15/6/2009.

The GREAT WHITE EGRET was at Lough Inchiquin(Geoff Pearson).

The male Black Redstart was at Our Lady’s Hospital this afternoon.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Sixty six Whooper Swan, 40 Curlew, 11 Greylag Geese and ten Shoveler were at Drumcliffe.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
One adult Mediterranean Gull and two Spotted Reshank were at Coronroo Bay with two Black-throated Divers off Bishop,s Quarter (Paul Troake).
One female Hen Harrier,a Peregrine, three Little Egret and 200 Lapwing were at Lahinch Marsh (Dave McNamara). One Hen Harrier was near Doolin (Jeff Copner).

A third winter Yellow-legged Gull was seen on the Shannon at Corbally today during the Limerick Branch Christmas Outing (TT et al.). This is the fifth record of the species in Limerick. a Kingfisher and a Dipper were also seen in the area.

One adult Ring-billed Gull was at Clancy Strand (John N Murphy).
There were 90 Gadwall (site record count), 13 Shoveler, 25 Wigeon, 20 Tufted Duck, 52 Lapwing, a Snipe and a Greenshank were at Coonagh (TT).
Up to 20 Great Black-backed Gulls and 55 Herring Gulls were on the Shannon at Limerick City today (TT).
