Twenty three Black-throated Diver, a Red-throated Diver, 15 Great Northern Diver and ten Common Scoter were between Coolshiva Pier and Gleninagh Castle.(Páidí Cullinan)
Nineteen Great Northern Diver and 15 Common Scoter were off Black Head.(PC)
Five Whooper Swan were at Latoon.(PC)
A Willow Warbler,two Chiffchaff and a Little Egret were at Shannon Airport Lagoon.(PC)

A Blackcap and a Chiffchaff were singing at Lees Road Wood.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Ten Wheatears were at Loop Head (Dermot Cosgrove).


Monday 27th March 2017

Willow Warblers were in song along the Shannon at Rhebogue and Dromroe (TT).
Four Sand Martins, two Redshank and a Kingfisher were on the Shannon near the Mill Road, Corbally (TT).

A flock of 25 Whoopers Swans were seen flying northwards over the sea at Kilkee with thousands of Manx Shearwaters two miles west of Loop Head (Dixie Collins).

Three Buzzards were at Glenanaar and a single bird was at Ballyorgan (Tony Mee).

Two Buzzards were at Ballyorgan this morning (Tony Mee).
A Barn Owl was seen in Ballingarry this evening (Andrew Holmes).

At the Branch outing five Black-throated Diver, a Red-throated Diver, 20 Great Northern Diver, 11 Red-breasted Merganser, 130 Brent Goose, four Little Egret, 17 Shelduck and 90 Common Scoter were between Ballyvaughan Pier and the Rine.(Austin Cooney, Nuala and Tom Lynch, Geoff Pearson et al)
A drake Surf Scoter and 34 Black-throated Diver were seen off Coolshiva Pier in the afternoon.(Geoff Pearson)


Friday 24th March 2017

Six Buzzards were in the Ballingarry area (TT) and four were at Curraghchase (Geoff Hunt).
Chiffchaffs were in song near Corranoher, Knockfeerina and at Abbeyfeale (TT).
