Two Dipper nine Whimbrel, a Raven, five Great Northern Diver along with a good selection of more common birds were seen at the Branch outing to Fanore and the Caher Valley.(Austin Conney et al)

A Short-eared Owl flew over the airfield at Shannon this evening.(Phil Brennan)
A pair of Common Sandpiper was at Loch Gealán and another pair was at Knockaunroe Turlough in the Burren National Park.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Three male Yellowhammer were at a garden in Rinnamona in the Burren. Two Blackcap and two Whitethroat were singing nearby.(N & TL)
Seven Whitethroat and five Blackcap were singing at Gortlecka Cross/Mullaghmore area.(N & TL)
Four Yellowhammer were singing on Sliabh Rua close to Coolorta. Four Cuckoo were also singing in that area.(N & TL)
Seven Wheatear were between the Mullaghmore and Sliabh Rua area.(N & TL)

The Night Heron was seen again today near Adare (Tom Tarpey, Andrew Holmes, Paidi Cullinane & Seamus Feeney). A Buzzard was also seen nearby.

A Whitethroat, a male Yellowhammer and a Jay were at Carron this morning.(Páidí Cullinan)
Two Grasshopper Warbler were singing at Sliabh Elva.(PC)
A Short-eared Owl, 14 Gadwall, three Water Rail and a Little Egret were at Shannon Airport Lagoon.(Páidí Cullinan, Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Over 60 Whimbrel were on the putting range of Shannon Golf Club. A Grasshopper Warbler, a Cuckoo and a Blackcap were singing nearby.(PC, N & TL)
Thirty two Black-tailed Godwit were on the mudflats close by. (PC, N & TL)
A Buzzard was soaring over the N18 close to the Clare Inn in the early afternoon.(N & TL)

The Night Heron was seen again today near Adare (Mick Madden, Mark Stewart and Ger Murray).
A Buzzard was seen at the Raheen Industrial Estate (Andrew Holmes).
170 Whimbrel, 300 Black-tailed Godwits and seven Gadwall were seen on the Shannon Estuary between Beagh Castle and Courtbrown (Paul Troake).

Night Heron near Adare John N Murphy

An adult Night Heron was seen in a private site near Adare today (Mick Madden, John N Murphy and Tom Tarpey). The bird was first seen there last Friday (21/4).
