The Clare Branch outing to the Bridges of Ross this morning, (during a period of bright sunshine and very slack winds) reported two Great Skua, two Arctic Skua, a Puffin, six Whimbrel, three Wheatear, a Peregrine, 10 Common Scoter, 80 Manx Shearwater and four Chough as the highlights.(Austin Cooney, Finbarr MacGabhann et al)

A LITTLE SHEARWATER was at the Bridges of Ross at 1620.(Andrew McMillan, Neal Warnock et al) A Red-necked Phalarope, three Grey Phalarope, a Leach’s Petrel, a Long-tailed Skua, two Black Tern, 185 Sooty Shearwater, three Sabine’s Gull and 17 Great Skua were the other highlights from a very good day at the Bridges.

A Grey Phalarope, 13 Sooty Shearwater, eight Great Skua, four Arctic Skua, three Storm Petrel, 25 Arctic Tern, 48 Sandwich Tern, four Common Scoter and six Whimbrel were at the Bridges of Ross between 07.00-12.00.(Keith Langdon)
Fifty eight Sooty Shearwater, eight Great Skua, an Arctic Skua, 21 Storm Petrel, a Puffin, 13 Arctic Tern, 16 Sandwich Tern and eight Whimbrel were there between 13.20-15.50(KL)
