The highlights from the Clare Branch outing to Fanore and the Caher Valley were seven Dipper including a family party of three juveniles, four Whitethroat, three Red-throated Diver and seven Great Northern Diver.(Nuala and Tom Lynch et al)
Three Buzzard were circling over the M18 at Knockagun.(Tom Tarpey)
Cuckoos were reported from Cree, Lissycasey, Darragh, Newhall Ennis, Islandavanna, Tulla and Crusheen.

Two Long-eared Owl were at Carrigaholt.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
One Bonxie, a Balearic Shearwater, 100 Manx Shearwater and two Arctic Tern were at the Bridges of Ross.(Geoff Pearson)

A drake Surf Scoter was at Liscannor Bay.(Geoff Pearson)

There were 19 Whimbrel, a Buzzard, 20 Gadwall and at least ten Sedge Warblers were at Coonagh (TT).


Friday 19th April 2019

The drake Ring-necked Duck was seen at Coonagh. Other birds there included a Peregrine Falcon, 14 Gadwall, six Pochard and at least six singing Sedge Warblers (TT).
A Cuckoo was calling at Cappagh (Pat Fitzgerald).
Seven Shoveler and 20 Teal were at the Charleville Lagoons (Tony Mee).
Four Little Egrets were at Bunlicky Lagoon (TT).
