A Brambling was at Curraghchase (Paudie Cullinane).
Two Goosanders were on the Shannon at Coonagh. Also present at Coonagh were eleven Gadwall, four Shoveler, eleven Pochard and 26 Tufted Duck (TT).
Eight Mallard and eight Tufted Duck were at Westfields (TT),

A Black Redstart and nine Snow Buntings were at Aughinish Martello Tower.(Niall T Keogh)
Three Buzzards,two Peregrine and two Blackcaps were at Applewood,Ballycar.(John N Murphy)

Saturday 25th January 2020

Twelve Purple Sandpiper were seen during the course of the Branch outing to Seafield, Quilty this morning. Also an Oystercatcher wearing white ring PY on right leg and pink/black bands on left leg.This bird was ringed in Iceland in June 2017. It was then an adult bird caught at a nest site.(Nuala and Tom Lynch, Geoff Pearson, Austin Cooney et al)
A Greater Scaup and 72 Pintail Duck were at Ballyallia.(Páidí Cullinan)

The 2CY White-tailed Eagle was flying between Ballyallia Lake and Lough Erinagh.(Páidí Cullinan, John N Murphy, Nuala and Tom Lynch)
