Pacific Golden Plover at Doonbeg Bay John N Murphy

The Pacific Golden Plover was still present at Doonbeg today. (John N Murphy, Jeff Copner et al)
There were also eight Bar-tailed Godwits and five Greenshank at Doonbeg.

A Pacific Golden Plover was at Doonbeg today. (Geoff Pearson) This was a first county record.

At the Bridges of Ross this morning there was one Wilson’s Storm Petrel (John N Murphy), two Sooty Shearwaters, 5,000 Manx Shearwaters (ph), 63 Storm Petrels and 92 Puffins.

Highlights from a three hour seawatch off the Bridges of Ross this morning was one Sooty Shearwater, 800 to 1,000 Manx Shearwaters (ph), two Storm Petrels, two Little Terns, two Knot and 41 Puffin. (John N Murphy)

Two Little Egrets were near the River Deel between Kilcoole Bridge and Newbridge (TT).

A Cuckoo, 14 Gadwall, four Pochard, two Tufted Duck, a Little Egret and two Reed Warblers were at Coonagh (TT).
A 2cy Lesser Black-backed Gull from Lough Ree, Blue 475:R, was at O’Callaghan’s Strand (TT).

Three 3cy Lesser Black-backed Gulls from Lough Ree, Blue 030:R, 158:R & 199:R were at Browne’s Quay, Limerick City along with a 2cy bird, Red A12:D from a different colony.
