This colour ringed Oystercatcher has been at Liscannor for some time now John N Murphy

Bufflehead Geoff Pearson

A first-winter female Bufflehead was at an undisclosed area of Clare this afternoon. (Geoff Pearson & John N Murphy)
This was a fourth Irish record and a second county record of this rare North American vagrant duck.
The last and first bird for the county was a female on 6th January 2007 at Lough Atedaun.
There was one immature drake Surf Scoter within a flock of 90 Common Scoter and two Greater Scaup at Lahinch. (JNM et al)
One Siberian Chiffchaff was at the Shannon Airport Lagoon. (JNM)

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was heard calling near Murroe (Niall Keogh).
A sub-adult Yellow-legged Gull was at Thomond Weir (TT).
