Ten Sand Martin were at Seafield, Quilty.(Anne O’Connell)

A Swallow was at Kilmeedy (Andrew Holmes).
A pair of Great Spotted Woodpeckers was drumming at the same location near Murroe where they bred successfully last year (Gordon Young).


Sunday 28th March 2021

A 1st winter Iceland Gull was at Bishop’s Quay and a 1st winter Glaucous Gull was at Honan’s Quay (TT).
A Merlin, two Scaup, 17 Pochard, 13 Tufted Duck, two Gadwall and 60 Sand Martins were at Coonagh (TT).
A Blackcap was in song at Crecora. Seven Fieldfare were also present (Derek Casey).

One 2CY Iceland Gull, two adult summer Mediterranean Gulls and 57 Brent Geese were at Seafield.(John N Murphy)
A Great Spotted Woodpecker has been drumming at the same site near Spancilhill for the last two weeks as it was this time last year.(Jason Horner)

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was drumming near Murroe (Mike Quirke).
A Green Sandpiper, six Sand Martins and two Whooper Swans were at Cooperhill Lough (Gerry Murphy & Tom Tarpey).
A Blackcap was in song at Glenstal (MQ).

Great Spotted Woodpeckers were drumming near Murroe and at Portnard, Cappamore (Mike Quirke).
Two Crossbills were at Meentolla.
Three Buzzards were at Glenstal.

Two Blackcaps and four Chiffchaffs were at Crecora (Derek Casey).
