Colour ringed Dunlin at Seafield today Sean Whelan

There were 36 Purple Sandpiper among the Sanderling, Dunlin, Turnstone, Ringed Plover, Lapwing etc.,at the beach at Seafield during the Clare Branch outing. Over 170 Barnacle Geese, 22 Brent Geese and 69 Teal were at nearby Mutton Island.(Nuala and Tom Lynch, Geoff Pearson, Sean Whelan, Ray Glynn et al)

Great Spotted Woodpeckers have been heard drumming near Murroe for the past ten days (Mike Quirke & Gordon Young).

A Great Spotted Woodpecker, a Dipper and two Buzzards were at Ballynabrone, Broadford. (Paidi Cullinan)

The adult Iceland Gull was still in the middle of Ennis Tow. (James Organ)
There were 25 Whooper Swan and 633 Lapwing at Costelloe’s, Ballyallia. A 104 Lapwing and 15 Gadwall were at front of the Lake. A further 97 Lapwing and three Greenshank were at Drumcliffe.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Two male and a female Blackcap were at Oak Park, Ennis.(N & T.L.)

One Dark-bellied Brent Goose (Branta B.Bernicla), was at Quilty with 18 Light-bellied Brent Geese and six Purple Sandpipers. (Paul Troake)

A Buzzard was at Foynes (John N Murphy).

Buzzards were at Bunlickey, Rosbrien and O’Rourke’s Cross (John N Murphy).
A Peregrine was also at Bunlickey (JNM).
