A Willow Warbler was in song at Roselawn, Castletroy and a Great Spotted Woodpecker was drumming close to the nearby Black Castle. At least four Blackcaps were in song in the general area also (Tom

There were over 200 Puffin visible from the viewing point at the Cliffs of Moher.(Geoff Pearson)

Two adult White-tailed Eagles were seen near Killaloe. One, a 5cy bird with tag code ‘Z’, was released at Tarbert Bay in August 2021 (Eoghan O’Shea).
A White-tailed Eagle was soaring over the motorway at Tubber on the Clare/Galway border this morning.(Paidí Cullinan)

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was drumming at Ballygriffey Wood.(Adrian Glasgow)
Another Great Spotted Woodpecker was drumming at Mountshannon, (Louis Peacock) and one more at a garden near Sixmilebridge.(CB)
There were 12 Red-throated Diver, nine Great Northern Diver, 85 Common Scoter, 12 Black Guillemot and two Sandwich Tern at Lahinch. (Jeff Copner)

Monday 24th March 2025

The female Ring-necked Duck was still at Westfields along with seven Gadwall, 22 Mallard, four Teal, four Pochard and 11 Tufted Duck. A Blackcap, three Chiffchaffs and a Sand Martin were also present (TT).
