Eurasian Spoonbill   Platalea leucordia Rare vagrant.   1975:    A single bird was present at Shannon Airport Lagoon from             26th June to 1st July. 1976:    One adult at Shannon Airport Lagoon on 29th and 30th August. 1998:    One immature/first-winter bird at Poulnasherry Bay on 30th November. This birds was believed to have traversed back and forth between Ballylongford Bay in county Kerry and the Shannon Airport Lagoon, eventually making its way back to Poulnasherry Bay in October 1999 where it remain for the rest of the winter and into the new millennium.
