Two Common Sandpipers were at Foynes (John N Murphy).
A Blackcap was in song at Fedamore (TT).

A 3cy Iceland Gull was at Bishop’s Quay (TT).
A Great Spotted Woodpecker was drumming at Ballyorgan (Tony Mee).
A Willow Warbler was in song at King’s Island. 42 Oystercatchers were also at the site(TT).

Sixty Brent Goose, 27 Purple Sandpiper and 22 Golden Plover were at Clahane.(GP)

Small numbers of Manx Shearwater, two Great Northern Diver and 12 Common Scoter were off Loop Head.(DC)

Two hundred Golden Plover were near Bishops Island, Kilkee and 300 more were at Goleen.(JNM)

The adult Iceland Gull was on the Shannon at Bishop’s Quay in Limerick City (TT).
A Great Spotted Woodpecker was reported drumming at Ballyorgan (per Tony Mee).
A Blackcap was at Ballyorgan (TM).


Friday 29th March 2024

One Hawfinch was seen at the carpark at Curraghchase. A Great Spotted Woodpecker was also heard drumming nearby(Aidan Kelly).
A Willow Warbler was in song at Lough Gur. 30 Tufted Duck, 18 Wigeon and a Great Crested Grebe were also present.
