There was a noticable arrival of Gadwall throughout many lakes in the county today.
There was one juvenile Curlew Sandpiper within a mixed flock of 70 Dunlin, 340 Sanderling, 310 Ringed Plover and 90 Turnstone at Seafield Beach, with 12 Great Northern Divers off shore and a Merlin hunting the area. (John N Murphy)
Some sightings from RV Celtic Explorer 2 miles offshore between the Burren and Inis Oirr there was a Leach’s Storm-petrel, with 36 Sooty Shearwaters, two Great Skuas and one European Storm-petrel four miles west of Hags Head. (Niall T. Keogh & John Collins)
Glossy Ibis ®Gerry Murphy
A Glossy Ibis was seen at Cooperhill, Mungret (Gerry Murphy). The bird was also seen in the area by a local farmer on Saturday. This is the third record for the County, the previous ones being at Coonagh in Spring 2014 and King’s Island Marsh in April 2016.
At Kilbaha this morning there was one Yellow-browed Warbler, two Chiffchaff and three Goldcrests. (John N Murphy)

There was a bird showing characteristics of an African Collared Dove at Kilbaha this morning. (John N Murphy), along with three Yellow-browed Warblers, two Chiffchaff, a Brambling, ten Redpolls and 66 Rock Dove. (JNM)
