Buzzard (Tom Tarpey)

A Buzzard was seen at today’s Branch outing to Currachase. Jays, Treecreepers and a Red Squirrel were also seen.

One Pink-footed Goose, 70 Greylag Geese, two Water Rails and one immature Hen Harrier were at Lough Muckanagh this evening.
A flock of 100 Barnacle Geese and two Ravens were on Mutton Island.
One Curlew Sandpiper, a Merlin, six Great Northern Divers and 26 Purple Sandpipers were a Seafield, Quilty.
A flock of 120 Common Scoter and six Red-throated Divers were at Lahinch.
Nine Woodcock were at Clifden Hill, Corofin.
One Barn Owl was at Moinanna Bridge between Inagh and Ennistymon.

A flock of 50 Brent Geese were Querrin Pier at low tide today.

The female Marsh Harrier was at Lough Muckanagh along with the Pink-footed Goose, 22 White-fronted Geese and 72 Greylag Geese.

One Pink-footed Goose was with a flock of 65 Greylag Geese in a field near Lough Muckanagh.
One Snow Bunting was at Loop Head Lighthouse.
Ten Whooper Swans were in fields on the Lough Derg side of the road half way between Scarriff and Mountshannon.

A female Marsh Harrier was at Tool’s Lough, Corofin (Dave McNamara).
One Snow Bunting was at Black Head.
A flock of 90 Brent Geese were at Ballyvaughan Bay.
There were nine Whoopers Swans on the River Fergus at the entrance to Dromore Wood.

The drake Surf Scoter was still at Lahinch today (John N Murphy), along with 35 Common Scoter.
One drake Ring-necked Duck (John N Murphy), 70 Tufted Duck, 20 Gadwall and five Whooper Swans were at Lough Inchiquin .
Five Crossbills were at Gortcorce, Dysert.
One Black-throated Diver and two Little Egrets were at Aughinish Island.
One Peregrine was Lough Atedaun.
