Saturday 25th January 2025-Seafield/Lough Donnell
A visit to Seafield, Quilty to see waders, gulls, divers etc. A great place to see birds at close range. We often get to view Barnacle Geese on Mutton Island. On occasion birds of prey or an unusual species has been spotted. Meet at Seafield Pier at 11 a.m.

A visit to Lake Inchiquin, Lake Atedaun and Lough Muckanagh to see lots of birds wintering in this area. If we are lucky we may see Goldeneye and White-tailed Sea Eagle at Lough Muckanagh. Meet at Lake Inchiquin car-park at 11 a.m.

Outing to Ballyvaughan and the Rine where we hope to see Brent Geese, Red-breasted Mergansers, Shelduck and many other species. Meet opposite Monk’s Pub Ballyvaughan at 11a.m.

A visit to Fanore and the Caher Valley. We will look for nesting birds in the sand-dunes and scan the sea for birds. Then we will stroll along the Caher Valley where we hope to encounter Dipper, Blackcap, Whitethroat, Raven, Linnet, Stonechat, Grey Wagtail etc. Meet at Fanore Beach car-park at 11a.m.
Find out more »Sunday 11th May 2025-Dawn Chorus-Burren National Park
National Dawn Chorus outing to the Burren National Park. We hope to see and hear Cuckoo, Whitethroat, Blackcap, Yellowhammer, Willow Warbler and a host of other species at this unique habitat. Meet at the Grotto, Corofin at 5a.m. We will drive from there to South Commons, Rinnamona and the Mullaghmore area. Outing will last two to three hours. Bring a flask and some food if you wish.
