Saturday 27th April- Dawn Chorus Outing Ballyallia Lake.
Special Dawn Chorus event to Ballyallia Lake in association with Ennis Tidy Towns. Meet where car parking spaces begin on the Ruan Road opposite the Lake at 5.30a.m. Great place to hear Blackbird, Song Thrush, Robin, Wren, Chaffinch, Willow Warbler, Chiffchaff, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Blackcap and many other birds in song. We will scan the lake for nesting water birds such Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe, Coot, Moorhen, etc.Who knows what else may turn up on a fine morning.…

Outing to Fanore and the Caher Valley. We will look for birds on the sea and beach at Fanore. Later we will search for migrants on the sand-dunes and while strolling along the Caher Valley. We often see Dipper in the river flowing through the Valley. Meet at Fanore Beach car-park at 11a.m.

Dawn Chorus outing to the Mullaghmore area of the Burren. During the course of an early morning stroll through this unique habitat we hope to hear and see Whitethroat, Blackcap, Willow Warbler, Cuckoo, Yellowhammer and many more species.Bring a flask and food if you wish. Meet at the Grotto, Corofin at 5a.m.

A joint outing with the Limerick Branch to see nesting seabirds on the Loop Head Cliffs. Sightings and sounds of thousands of Guillemot, Razorbill, Kittiwake, Shag, Rock Dove, Chough and much more. Keating’s Pub will be open for those wishing to have lunch. Meet at Loop Head Lighthouse car-park at 11a.m.
