Monday 8th February 2010
A drake Garganey was at Ballyallia Lake this afternoon alongside
four Little Egrets and 32 Cormorants.
There were three Black-throated Divers at Finvarra Point.
One Black-throated Diver and two Long-tailed Ducks were off Doorus Pier.
There were 43 White-fronted Geese at Lough Muchanagh.
A flock of 200 Brent Geese were at Lough Murree.
There were 56 Whooper Swans at Kells, the Burren.
A Raven was at Ballyallia Wood.

Sunday 7th February 2010
The Green-winged Teal was still at Bell Harbour.
There were 11 Black-throated Divers, three Long-tailed Ducks and ten Common
Scoter at Aughinish Island.
There were 13 Black-throated Divers at Finvarra Point.
Two Long-tailed Ducks were off Doorus Pier.
A Jay was at Lees Road Wood and a female Blackcap at Oak Park Ennis.

Saturday 6th February 2010
A female Blackcap was at Oak Park Ennis this morning.
A flock of 400 Golden Plover were at Lahinch Marsh.

Friday 5th February 2010
A Green-winged Teal was at Lough Atedaun (Dave McNamara).
A Slavonian Grebe was seen off Durrus Pier earlier today.
Three Black- throated Diver and two Long-tailed Duck were reported off Aughinish. 
Ten Black- thraoted Diver were off Finavarra. 
Two Little Egret were seen at the Flaggy Shore.
Five Woodcock were at Clifden Hill
A Woodcock was reported at Roxton this evening.

Thursday 4th February 2010
Thee was one adult Ring-billed Gull, two Choughs and a colour ringed Redshank
(Red over lime green) at Clahane today .
Another adult Ring-billed Gull was on the beach at Quilty.
There were ten Whooper Swans at Lough Atedaun with another nine near Kells, the Burren.

Wednesday 3rd February 2010
Two Little Egret were seen at Lake Inchiquin.
A Peregrine was at Clahane.
Ten Goldeneye were seen at Lough Bunny.
Nine Whooper were reported at Kells.

Tuesday 2nd February 2010
A female Blackcap was at Oak Park Ennis this morning.

Monday 1st February 2010
There were 43 Greenland White-fronted Geese at Lough Muchanagh.
Another 37 Whooper Swans were at Lough Atedaun.
Over 45 Whoper Swans were in fields near Kells, the Burren.
A flock of 16 Whooper Swans were at Carron.
Ten Goldeneye were at Lough Bunny.
One Peregrine and ten Great Northern Divers were at Doorus. 
One Little Egret, 100 Brent Geese and 30 Grey Plovers were at the Aughinish. 
There were 50 Greylag Geese at Ballycar Lough.

Two Long-tailed Ducks and 30 Great Northern Divers were off Aughinish Island.

Saturday 30th January 2010
The drake Green-winged Teal was still at Bell Harbour (John N Murphy & Finbarr MacGabhann).
Three Eider ducks (one male & two immatures) were at the Rine, Ballyvaughan along with
110 Brent Geese. 
One Spotted Redshank, an adult Mediterannean Gull and one Little Egret were at
Corronroo on the Clare/Galway border.
Two Long-tailed Ducks were off Doorus Pier.
A flock of 52 Whooper Swans, 11 Grelag Geese, 90 Pochard, 120 Tufted Ducks
and 200 Wigeon were at Termon Lough, north of Tubber.
One Jay was seen between Crusheen and Tubber.
Three Woodcock were at Gort Coirce, Dysert.
One Woodcock was at Ballyea, Inagh.
One Jack Snipe was on the Rocky Road, Ennis.
One Peregrine and four Ravens were at Lough Atedaun.
A flock of over 3000 Starling were seen at Hermitage Ennis at dusk.

Thursday 28th January 2010
There was a flock of 96 Pochard, 120 Tufted Ducks, 23 Whooper Swans and 
11 Greylag Geese at termon North, just North of Tubber
on the Clare/Galway border.
A Jay was at Lees Road Wood this afternoon.
Three Greylag Geese and 20 Whooper Swans were at Ballycar Lough.
Two Dippers were at the Claureen River, near Kilmaley.

Sunday 24th January 2010
A female Velvet Scoter was at Finvarra along with 30 Common Scoter,
two Black-throated Divers and one Long-tailed Duck.
A flock of 240 Brent Geese were Lough Murree.
One female Hen Harrier was at Lough Bunny.
There were 23 Whooper Swans, 16 Greylag Geese, one Water Rail and
one male Blackcap at Applewood, Ballycar.
A female Blackcap was at Oak Park Ennis.

Friday 22nd January 2010
One Red-necked Grebe was off Doorus Pier (Dave McNamara), along with
two Long-tailed Ducks and 30 Great Northern Divers.
There were five Black-throated Divers, two Long-tailed Ducks and 20 Great Norhern
Divers at Finvarra Point.
Four Long-tailed Ducks were off Aughinish Island.
There were eight Woodcock at Clifden Hill.
A flock of 170 Brent Geese were at Lough Murree thre of which were wearing colour rings.
There were two male Blackcaps feeding at a garden at the Flaggy Shore, New Quay.
A female Blackcap was in a garden at Oak Park, Ennis.

There was a Peregrine, three Ravens, 33 Brent Geese and a Common
Gull wearing a yellow leg band with numbers 285Y on it at Clahane today.
One male Blackcap and aWater Rail were at Applewood, Ballycar.

Wednesday 20th January 2010
One female Hen Harrier was at Boghill, Lisdoonvarna.
There was at flock of 45 Whooper Swans at Tool's Lough, the Burren.
One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar.

Tuesday 19th January 2010
A flock of 82 Tufted Ducks and 50 Little Grebes were at Lough Gash.
One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar along with one Water Rail
and one Woodcock.
A male and female Blackcap were at Oakleigh Wood Ennis.

Monday 18th January 2010
One drake Green-winged Teal was at Lough Atedaun (Dave McNamara).
There were 13 Black-throated Divers, 25 Great Northern Divers and ten Long-tailed Ducks
off Aughinish Island.
A flock of 14 Goldeneye were at Cullaun Lake, the Burren.
There was one Little Egret, 160 Tufted Ducks, 32 Gadwall, 32 Pochard, 120 Shoveler,
92 Little Grebe, over 400 Coot, 14 Pintail and nine Whooper Swans at Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.
One Jay was at Ballyporty.
Six Woodcock were at Clifden Hill, Corofin.
A female Blackcap was in a garden at Oak Park Ennis.

Sunday 17th January 2010
Two Little Egrets were near Clarecastle.
One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar.

Saturday 16th January 2010
There was one Spotted Redshank at Clahane, along with two Ravens and hundreds of pipits.
Six Black-throated Divers, five Long-tailed Ducks and three Sandwich Terns were 
at Aughinish Island, North Clare.
One Long-tailed Duck was at Lough Inchiquin.
A flock of 150 Sanderling were at Seafield, Quilty of which five were wearing
colour leg band combinations.  Also at Seafield were 80 Purple Sandpipers, 600 Dunlin,
70 Ringed Plover and 200 Turnstones.
One Barn Owl was seen late this afternoon between Quilty and Doonbeg.
The flock of 200 Barnacle Geese were near the White Strand, Doonbeg along with on Peregrine.
A flock of 19 White-fronted Geese and 36 Whooper Swans were at Tullagher Bog.

Friday 15th January 2010
A Green-winged Teal was at Bellharbour today (Jeff Copner), along with
73 Shellduck and eight Little Grebes.
There was one winter plumaged Curlew Sandpiper and six Black-throated Divers
at the Flaggy Shore, New Quay.
One male and one female Hen Harriers were at Lough Muchanagh along
with 37 Greenland White-fronted Geese.
One female Hen Harrier and 16 Gadwall were at Shannon Airport Lagoon.
One male Blackcap and a Woodcock were at Applewood, Ballycar.
One Little Egret was at Finvarra.
One Long-tailed Duck and 27 Pochard were at Lough Inchiquin.
One Peregrine was at Goleen while just offshore a mixed flock of seabirds
consisting of 100 Gannets were noted.

One Mediterranean Gull was at Kilkee.
There were 100 Purple Sandpipers at Seafield, Quilty.
A male and female Blackcap were in a garden at Elm Park Ennis.
Another male and female were at Oak  Park  Ennis.

One male Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar.
A male and female Blackcap were at Oak Park Ennis.
One female Blackcap was at Willow Park, Ennis.
Three water Rails were at Ballycar Lough.
There were 24 Pochard, 120 Gadwall, two Scaup and 360 Tufted Ducks at Lough Inchiquin.
One Jay was at Clifden Hill, along with two Woodcock.
One Woodcock was at Gort Coirce, Dysert.
One male Blackcap was on the Kilrush Road, Ennis.
There were 20 Goldeneye at Lough Atedaun.

Five more Black-throated Divers were off Doorus with three Long-tailed Ducks.
One Sandwich Tern was at New Quay.

One Long-tailed Duck was at Clahane, Liscannor.
Six Gannets and 32 Razorbills were between Doolin and Fanore.
There were 200 Bar-tailed Godwits at Ballyvaughan Bay.

Lough Muchanagh, the Burren.
One female Hen Harrier, 30 Pintail and 100 Snipe, 100 Black-tailed Godwits,
and 30 Whooper Swans  were at Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.

At Ballyallia this morning there were 23 Whooper Swan, two Jay, six Gadwall and seven Pintail Duck.
The male Wheatear, six Purple Sandpipers  and two Black-throated Divers were at the Flaggy Shore.
Four Little Egrets were at Moyasta.
A flock of 70 Whooper Swans were at Mount Shannon.

At the Shannon Airport Lagoon there were two Little Egrets, 3,000 Dunlin,
800 Lapwing, seven Whooper Swans, 36 Shoveler and three Water Rails.

One male Wheatear, 35 Great Northern Divers and five Purple Sandpipers
were at the Flaggy Shore, New Quay.
There were 18 Black-throated Divers, 30 Great Northerns and two Purple 
Sandpipers off Finvarra Point.
There were two Little Egrets and 20 Whooper Swans at the New Line Turlough.

Monday 30th November 2009
One male Wheatear, four Black-throated Divers, 30 Great Northern Divers and
one Sandwich Tern were at the Flaggy Shore, New Quay.
One Chiffchaff was at Clahane, Liscannor.
There were 16 Red-throated Divers off Liscannor Pier.
One Barn Owl was on the Kilrush Road just outside Kilkee.
There were 72 Whooper Swans, 100 Wigeon and 100 Curlew at Lough Cullaun, the Burren.
Two Woodcock were at Boghill, Liscannor.
A small flock of 11 Whooper Swans and two Water Rails were at Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

One Ring-billed Gull was at Seafield, Quilty along with five Great Northern Divers,
100 Dunlin and 100 Sanderling.  
There were 12 Tree Sparrows on the Seafield road to Lough Donnell.
One Water Rail was at Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

Saturday 28th November 2009
There were 31 Black-throated Divers off the Rine, Ballyvaughan along with
52 Great Northerns, ten Red-throated, 50 Black Guillemots, ten Common Scoters,
two Sandwich Terns and two Ravens.
Two Black-throated Divers, one Sandwich Tern and the male Wheatear were
at the Flaggy Shore, New Quay.
There were 38 Great Northern Divers at Aughinish.
One Green Sandpiper was at Ballycorick Bridge, Ballynacally.
One Common Sandpiper was at Clarecastle Quay.
One Jay was at Paradise House, Ballynacally.
One Little Egret was at Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.

One female Blackcap was at Applewood, Ballycar.

One Water Pipit was still at the Flaggy Shore, New Quay (Dave McNamara),
along with 92 Great Northern Divers.
There were 21 Barnacle Geese in a field near Goleen, Moveen, Kilkee.
Two Little Egrets were at Querrin.
One Little Egret was at Killkeedy.

The Water Pipit was at Clahane (John N Murphy).
Also at Clahane were over 200 Rock Pipits.
There were 120 Purple Sandpipers and 140 Sanderlings at Seafield, Quilty.
There were 200 Wigeon and 17 Whooper Swans at Drumcliff, Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.
Five Woodcock and 250 Hooded Crows were at Clifden Hill, Corofin.
Two Woodcock were at Applewood, Ballycar, Newmarket-on-Fergus.

A Leach's Petrel was seen flying inland at Seafield, Quilty.
On the beach at Seafield were 100 Purple Sandpipers and 130 Sanderling.
There were eight Great Northern Divers at Liscannor.

One Black Redstart and one Snow Bunting were at Ballard, Doonbeg.
One Snow Bunting was at Castle Point, Kilkee.
There were 27 Black-throated Divers, 25 Great Northern Divers, 30 Common
Scoter, one Merlin and two Raven at the Rine, Ballyvaughan.
A flock of 70 Barnacle Geese were at Ilaunonearaun, Kilkee.
There were 12 White-fronted Geese at Tullagher Bog.
Off Loop Head there were 80 Gannets and 1,000 Guillemots.
There were 100 Gannets and 12 Great Northern Divers off Black Head.
One Tree Sparrow was at Kilbaha.

There was one Water Rail at Willow Park, Ennis.

The BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT was in a flooded field behind the beach at Clahane (Jeff Copner).
One first-winter Curlew Sandpiper was at Seafield, along with 80 Purple Sandpipers, 
130 Sanderling,180 Ringed Plover, 160 Dunlin,  seven Great Northern Divers and
one Merlin.

Friday 13th November 2009
One Curlew Sandpiper, 2,800 Dunlin, 22 Grey Plover and 200 Redshank were at
the Shannon Airport Lagoon this afternoon.
There were 90 Purple Sandpipers and a Little Egret at Seafield, Quilty.
One Spotted Redshank was at Coranroo on the Clare/Galway border.
A flock of 450 Lapwing, two Whooper Swans and two Greenshank were at Clenagh Lake.
Three Black-throated Divers, ten Great Northern Divers, two Red-throated Divers, 
one Little Egret, seven Long-tailed Ducks, 30 Black Guillemots and seven Brent Geese were
at Aughinish Island, North Clare.
Two Black-throated Divers were at the Flaggy Shore.
One Long-tailed Duck was at Lough Inchiquin.

Thursday 12th November 2009
One Curlew Sandpiper was at Seafield, Quilty.
One adult winter Ring-billed Gull was at the Flaggy Shore, Lough Murree along with one
male Wheatear, three Little Egrets, 220 Wigeon and three Purple Sandpipers.
Three Snow Buntings, four Sandwich Terns, one Black-throated Diver, one Little Egret and
22 Brent Geese were at Aughinish Island, North Clare.

A Yellow-browed Warbler was seen at Kilbaha earlier today, alongside five Chiffchaffs.
and two Bullfinches.
Five male and three female Yellowhammers were seen close to Mullaghmore.
One Little Egret was at Doonbeg.
Two Little Egrets and a Whooper Swan were at Kilcredaun.
There were 727 Wigeon, three Gadwall and ten Whooper Swans at Lough Murree,  New Quay.
At the Shannon Airport Lagoon there were three Little Egrets, 18 Gadwall, 28 Shoveler and

Two Black-throated Divers and 16 Great Northern Divers were off Aughinish Island.
Four Black-throated Divers were at Finvarra Point.
A Ring-billed Gull,  two second-winter Mediterranean Gulls and 33 Great Northern Divers
were at the Flaggy Shore.
One first-winter Velvet Scoter and ten Great Northern Divers were at Bishops Quarter.
There were twenty three Great Northern Diver seen between Aughinish and the Flaggy Shore.
Two Woodcock were at Clifden Hill, Corofin.

A juvenile American Golden Plover was at Kilcredaun Marsh this evening (John N Murphy)
within a flock of 80 Golden Plovers and alongside one Whooper Swan and one Whimbrel. 
At Kilcredaun Lighthouse there was one female Wheatear.
There were four Chiffchaff, one Willow Warbler, one Swallow and 56 Rock Doves
at Kilbaha, Loop Head.
One Black-throated Diver was off the Flaggy Shore, with 10 Whooper Swans, one
Pintail and one Gadwall at Lough Murree.

Wednesday 28th October 2009
At the Shannon Airport Lagoon this afternoon there were six Little Egrets, five 
Whooper Swans, 24 Gadwall, 3,000 Golden Plover, 22 Grey Plover, 400 Knot,
600 Redshank and four Water Rails.
There were two Water Rails at Ballycar Lough, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
A family party of five Whooper Swan were at Ballymacguiggan Lake this evening

Five Snow Buntings were at George's Head, Kilkee.
Seven Whooper Swans were seen flying over Killard Bay, Doonbeg this morning.

One Kingfisher was at Lough Atedaun.
There were 57 Black-tailed Godwits and 16 Gadwall at Lough Inchiquin.
Large numbers of Redwing were observed throughout the county today.

The immature Garganey and 14 Gadwall were at the Shannon Airport Lagoon this late 
this evening and one Merlin was seen chasing 4,000 Starlings going to roost.
At the Bridges of Ross this morning there was one Sabine's Gull, three Arctic Skuas,
one Bonxie, one Sooty Shearwater, one Storm Petrel and thousands of Kittiwakes.
On Loop Head there were six Chiffchaffs.
One second-winter Mediterranean Gull was at Cloghaun Lough.
A flock of 75 Sanderling were at Seafield with three birds wearing colour band combinations.
Also at Seafield were three Purple Sandpipers.
A flock of 300 Golden Plovers, 170 Lapwing and one Little Egret were at Doonbeg.
Two Peregrines were at Farrihy Lake.
One Whooper Swan was at Kilcredaun Marsh while another seven Whoopers were at Lough Atedaun.
There were 13 Gadwall at Lough Inchiquin.
There were six Greenland White-fronted Geese at Tullagher Bog.

along with 12 Little Egrets, 470 Teal, 30 Shoveler, 12 Gadwall, 70 Wigeon,
60 Lapwing, 200 Black-tailed Godwit, 300 Golden Plover 200 Knot and 200 Dunlin.
The adult Little Gull was still in the  fllooded field outside Quin.
There were 13 Gadwall and two Pochard at Ballyallia Lake, Ennis.

One adult-winter Little Gull was in a wet flooded field just outside Quin village.
One Willow Warbler and three Siskins were at Loop Head.

One juvenile Curlew Sandpiper and a Little Egret were at Doonbeg.

along with one Merlin and two White Wagtails.
One first winter Glaucous Gull and a Merlin were at Kilbaha.
One Whooper  Swan was at Kilcredaun Marsh, Rineville.

The BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT was at Clahane (Dave McNamara).
Also at Clahane were one White Wagtail and a Merlin.
There was no sign of the Little Bunting at Loop Head today but two Yellow-browed
Warblers were still present along with the first-winter Pied Flycatcher, one male Blackcap,
one Jack Snipe, the juvenile Brent Goose and four Chiffchaffs.
One Wheatear and 16 Great Northern Divers were at the Flaggy Shore.
There were 13 Little Egrets at Finvarra.
A flock of 17 Gadwall were at Lough Inchiquin, Corofin.
Five Greylag Geese were at Fenloe Lake (Fin Lough), Newmarket-on-Fergus. 

Saturday 17th October 2009
A LITTLE BUNTING was seen just up from Kilbaha Cottage, Loop Head (John N Murphy, Nuala and Tom Lynch, Dave McNamara).
Also at Kilbaha were  two Yellow-browed Warblers, a first-winter male Pied Flycatcher, a Garden Warbler, six Chiffchaffs, one Swallow, 30 Reed Buntings, ten Lesser Redpoll, seven Choughs, seven Ravens,  ten Snipe, one Peregrine, 20 Redwings and five Fieldfares.
At Loop Head Lighthose a Storm Petrel was rescued and returned to sea. A dead Blackcap
was found there also.
A Brent Goose was in Kilbaha Harbour.
One Barn Owl was at Dysert this evening.

At the Shannon Airport Lagoon the Garganey was still present along with 
35 Little Egrets, 80 Shoveler, 320 Teal, three Water Rails, 200 Black-tailed
Godwits, 3,000 Golden Plover and eight Gadwall.
Three Black-throated Divers were at Aughinish Island along with 85 Black
Guillemots, 55 Red-breasted Mergansers, five Great Northern Divers
and two Red-throated Divers.
One Ruff was at the Claureen River Attenuation Pond in Ennis.
Two Greylag Geese and nine Redwing were at Applewood, Ballycar,
Newmarket-on-Fergus.
One Arctic Tern was at Seafield, Quilty.

The BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT re-appeared at Clahane today (Dave McNamara).
A second-winter Ring-billed Gull was still at Spanish Point.
Two Black-throated Divers , four Little Egrets and 50 Black Guillemots were off Aughinish.
Also at Aughinish Point were one Snow Bunting and three Swallows.
One Green Sandpiper, a Kingfisher and 14 Black-tailed Godwits were at the Claureen River
Attenuation Pond in Ennis.

280 Teal, 65 Shoveler, 20 Little Egrets, two Curlew Sandpipers, one Spotted Redshank, 
1,000 Redshank, 270 Knot, 190 Dunlin, 4,000 Golden Plover, five Grey Plover, 600 Black-tailed 
Godwits, two Water Rail and one female Hen Harrier.
There were 10 Chiffchaff at Loop Head, with one second-winter Iceland Gull at Pilot Hill,
one Fieldfare in a garden near the bog road and five Jack Snipes in the pond at Kilbaha.
Five Swallows were at Cross Village.

A male Redstart was found on the outskirts of Kilbaha Village.
One adult Ring-billed Gull and a second-winter Mediterranean Gull were at Bell Harbour.
One adult Mediterranean Gull and a Little Egret were at Corronroo Bay.
One Green Sandpiper was at Moyasta, along with one Water Rail and two Little Egrets.
A Ruff and 38 Black-tailed Godwits were at the Claureen River Attenuation pond in Ennis.
One Jack Snipe was at Cloughan Lough Loop Head, along with two Snow Buntings.
At Loop Head there was one female Blackcap, two Wheatears, six Chiffchaffs, two Merlins
one Peregrine, 10 Chough and five Ravens.
A Whooper Swan was at Lough Murree, the first this autumn.
One Wheatear and a Little Egret were at Bishop's Quarter, Ballyvaughan.
One Jay was near Manusmore, Clarecastle.
There were 33 Gadwall at Lough Inchiquin.

There were 30 Red-throated Divers, five Great Northern Divers and 12 Common Scoter at Liscannor.

The BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT was once again seen at Clahane (Dave McNamara).
One second-winter Ring-billed Gull was in approach fields to Kilbaha with other  large gulls.
At Loop Head there was two Snow Buntings, one male and three female Blackcaps, 10 Chiffchaffs,
three Wheatears, two Merlin, one first-winter Little Gull, one second-winter Iceland Gull,
one Jack Snipe, one Redwing, one Red-throated Diver, three Great Northern Divers
and 44 Reed Buntings.
One Redwing was seen near Rineen National School, Moy, Lahinch.
A flock of 36 Great Northern Divers were at Liscannor Bay.
There were 19 Gadwall and 35 Black-tailed Godwits at Lough Atedaun.
A flock of 150 Golden Plover were in fields on the south side of Kilkee Bay.
There were two Swallows near Kilrush.

One second-winter Iceland Gull was at Doonbeg.
One Snow Bunting, one female Blackcap, one Willow Warbler, seven Chiffchaffs, three Swallows, 
two Wheatears, and two Merlin were at Loop Head.
One Curlew Sandpiper was at Rineville beach, Carrigaholt.
One male Hen Harrier was Lough Muckanagh, the Burren.
A Raven was at Ballyallia Wood and another at Islandavanna where 307 Redshank were also present.

Today at the Bridges of Ross there were, five Sabine's Gulls, 11 Leach's Petrels, eight Storm Petrels,
208  Sooty Shearwaters, 100 Manx Shearwaters, two Pomarine Skuas, nine Arctic Skuas, 15 Bonxies,
five blue phased Fulmars, five Puffins, 51 Brent Geese, three Common Scoters, 29 Arctic Terns , one
Wigeon and one Peregrine Falcon.
A Common Sandpiper was at Kilbaha Harbour.
At Kilbaha village there was one female Blackcap, three Chiffchaff, a female Hen Harrier and one Peregrine.
At the Fodry a Raven, six Chough, fifty Golden Plover and a male and female Merlin were seen.
Also at Loop Head there were two Wheatears and one second-winter Mediterranean Gull was at Ross Bay. 
One Peregrine was at Lough Donnell with another at Tullagher and possibly the same bird at Killard Bay.
One Snow Bunting was at Killard.
There was a Whimbrel and 50 Brent Geese at Seafield.
There were seven Little Egrets at Moyasta.

Friday 2nd October 2009
The BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT was at Clahane again this morning (Eamon McLochlainn, John N Murphy
Brian Finnegan, Tom Chadwick).
One Long-tailed Skua, two Leach's Petrels, 22 Sooty Shearwaters and a Peregrine were at the
Bridges of Ross.
Also at Clahane was one Common Sandpiper.
One Common Sandpiper and a Kingfisher were at Clarecastle Quay.
Two Brent Geese flew over the blue pools at Kilkee.
Two Little Egrets were at Blackweir Bridge, Poulnasherry.
Two Little Egrets were at Querrin.
Eleven Gadwall and twelve Black-tailed Godwit were seen at Ballyallia Lake.
There were 11 Barnacle Geese at Doonbeg Bay.

Thursday 1st October 2009
There was a BUFF-BELLIED PIPIT at Clahane this afternoon (Dave McNamara & Jeff Copner).
This is the second county record found in the exact location where the first one 
turned up on 7th October 2007 and found by the same observer, well done Dave.
One Green Sandpiper, one Jack Snipe and 25 Black-tailed Godwits were at
the Claureen River atenuation Pond in Ennis.
One Long-eared Owl was at Clifden Hill, Corofin.
A Merlin and two Ravens were at Doonagore Bog.
A flock of 50 Little Grebes and 26 Tufted Ducks were at Lough Gash, Newmarket-on-Fergus.
One Merlin and one Peregrine were at Lough Donnell.
