Thursday 12th February 2026

There was six Little Auks, five Manx Shearwaters and a strong steady flow of auks (7,000-8,000)(90% Guillemots) and 90 Golden Plover past Ross Ringing Station this afternoon. (John N Murphy)

One 2CY Yellow-legged Herring Gull and two 2CY Northern Herring Gulls were at Kilkee Bay. (JNM)

On Illaunonearaun there were 16 Cormorants already nesting and 70 Golden Plover were at nearby Goleen. (JNM)

The drake Lesser Scaup was at Lough Cullaunysheeda. (James Organ)

There were 280 Barnacle Geese at Killard.(CC)

One Buzzard was on the N85 at Kilnamona (Sally O’Meara), with another at Bunratty, one at Cratloe and one Applewood, Ballycar. (John N Murphy)
