A bright Chiffchaff on the Bog Road at Loop Head John N Murphy

A Snow Bunting was at Seafield this morning.(Cliff Baxter)

At Ross Ringing Station this afternoon there was one Merlin, 36 Lapwing and a Chiffchaff was on the Bog Road at Loop Head. (John N Murphy)

One Buzzard was near Bella Creamery, Cross with another just east of Kilrush. (JNM)

At Ross Ringing Station this afternoon there were 72 Great Shearwaters, 560 Sooty Shearwaters, two Manx Shearwaters and a Red-throated Diver. (John N Murphy)

One Chiffchaff was in Seni Costelloe’s Garden, Kilbaha. (JNM)

Great White Egret at Ballyallia John N Murphy

Two immature Ring-necked Duck were at Ardclooney. (Davey Farrar)

The Common Sandpiper was at Clarecastle Quay along with one immature Merlin. (JNM)

There were 42 Gadwall and 25 Shoveler at Lough Erinagh. (JNM)

Great Shearwater off Ross Ringing Station John N Murphy

Off Ross Ringing Station this evening there were 264 Great Shearwater, 315 Sooty Shearwaters, 17 Manx Shearwater, one adult Mediterranean Gull, one Red-throated Diver, over 2,000 Herring Gulls, two Brent Geese, three Purple Sandpiper, 60 Turnstone and a male Merlin. (John N Murphy)

A White-tailed Eagle was at Dromore Nature Reserve and flew off towards Corofin.(Ian Garry)

A juvenile Little Gull and a Merlin were at Kilkee Bay.(John Collins)


Thursday 6th November 2025.

At Ross Ringing Station there was one Long-tailed Skua, one Bonxie, three Sooty Shearwaters, 27 Manx Shearwaters, one Red-throated Diver and 1,000 Kittiwakes. (John N Murphy )
