The Green-winged Teal was at Tarbert Bay again today along with 37 Shelduck, 180 Teal, six Mallard, 340 Dunlin, 23 Redshank, four Greenshank, six Oystercatchers, 23 Curlew, a Ring-billed Gull and a Merlin (Geoff Hunt).
Three Buzzards were seen near Clareville, Lisnagry (Tom Tarpey).

The Green-winged Teal was seen again today at Tarbert Bay. An adult Ring-billed Gull was also present (Geoff Hunt).
A male Hen Harrier was seen Knockdown (Geoff Hunt).

Saturday 12th March 2016

A Green-winged Teal was seen at the Limerick side of Tarbert Bay today (Davey Farrer, Geoff Hunt et al). This is the 12th record of the species in Limerick.
A Red-throated Diver was also seen in the bay (Geoff Hunt).
A Buzzard was seen at Glenanaar and two Sparrowhawks and a Dipper were at Ballyorgan (Tony Mee).

There were three first-winter Iceland Gulls and a first-winter Glaucous Gull at Ross Bay, Loop Head. (John N Murphy & Finbarr MacGabhann)
Over 800 Wigeon, 260 Teal, 130 Tufted Duck, 55 Black-tailed Godwit, 45 Shoveler, 42 Pintail Duck, 33 Mallard, 12 Gadwall, 10 Little Egret, four pair of Great-crested Grebe, two Raven and two Sparrowhawk were at Ballyallia.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Two Great Northern Diver and four Little Egret were at Lough Muckanagh.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Thirty Shoveler and six Little Grebe were at An Riasc in Ruan.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
Two Water Rail and a pair of Great-crested Grebe were at Lough Erinagh.(Nuala and Tom Lynch)
