White Wagtail near Ross Ringing Station John N Murphy

There were at least nine Glossy Ibis at Ballyallia this morning.(Maura Crowe)

A Great Spotted Woodpecker was at Ballinglera, Ogonnelloe with one Black Tern at Ardclooney. (Tom Tarpey)

Two Black Tern, a dark Arctic Skua and Common Terns are still at the estuary behind Inismurray Island.(Stan Nugent)

A Marsh Harrier, four Black Tern, two Water Rail and five Ruff were at Lough Atedaun. Six Glossy Ibis, one Water Rail and four Ruff were at Toole’s Lough. There were 22 Glossy Ibis at the River Fergus flood plain at Corofin, including leucistic bird that was at Lough Atedaun last week. One Common Sandpiper was at Lough Inchiquin. An immature White-tailed Eagle was at Lough Muckanagh.(James Organ)

Six Glossy Ibis’s at Tooles Lough James Organ

There were 11 Glossy Ibis at Ballyallia Lake.(John N Murphy), and six more at Tooles Lough along with three Ruff. (James Organ)

There were four Black Tern at Lough Atedaun.(John Rutherford & JO)

Two Mediterranean Gull were at Killimer and another at Ballymacrinan Bay. (Chris Cullen) The three Black Tern were still at Knockalough, Killmihill. (CC)

At Ross Ringing Station this evening a juvenile American Golden Plover was seen flying east within a flock of 20 Golden Plover. At sea a juvenile Black Tern, three Leach’s Petrel, two Storm Petrel and a Greenshank were observed. (JNM)

Common Terns at Inishmurray Quay John N Murphy

At the Bridges of Ross between 07.30-11.00 there were five Sabine’s Gull, 13 Storm Petrel, 200 Manx Shearwater, two Great Skua,200 Razorbill, six Sandwich Tern, three Arctic Tern and 12 Common Scoter.(Geoff Pearson)

There were two Black Tern at Inismurray Quay, Kildysert along with 25 Common Tern, eight Sandwich Tern, one Arctic Skua and two Common Sandpiper.(JNM) A Kingfisher was at Islandavanna.(JNM)

Grey Phalarope at Quilty John N Murphy

There were nine Glossy Ibis at Ballyallia this morning.(Maura Crowe)

There was one Grey Phalarope along with an adult and one juvenile Little Stint, and 70 Curlew Sandpiper at Seafield. Three Leach’s Petrel and a Red-breasted Merganser flew west past Seafield Pier.(John N Murphy)

A seawatch at the Bridges of Ross between 07.10-16.35 produced 116 Sooty Shearwater, seven Great Shearwater, 11 Cory’s Shearwater, 11 Great Skua, 38 Arctic Skua, three Pomarine Skua, one adult Long-tailed Skua, 135 Sandwich Tern, 85 Arctic Tern, 124 Sabine’s Gull, one first winter Little Gull, 160 Storm Petrel, three Wilson’s Petrel, 95 Leach’s Petrel, four Common Scoter, 38 Grey Phalarope, seven Red-throated Diver and one Puffin.(Paul Troake)

Great White Egret near Doonbeg John N Murphy

The Great White Egret was west of the Skivileen River at Doonbeg this afternoon. There were seven Grey Phalarope and over 100 Curlew Sandpiper at Seafield earlier. The adult American Golden Plover, three Ruff and 25 Sandwich Tern were at Doonbeg. Nine Grey Phalaropes and three Curlew Sandpipers were in the surf along the timeline at the White Strand, Doonbeg.
