Leach’s Petrel off Ross Ringing Station today John N Murphy

Between the Bridges of Ross and Ross Ringing Station today (06:40-19:40) one adult Long-tailed Skua, 12 Wilson’s Storm Petrels, 152 Leach’s Storm Petrel, 24 Sabine’s Gulls, 2,732 Cory’s Shearwater, 1,226 Sooty Shearwater, 63 Great Shearwater, 12 Pomarine Skua, 79 Bonxies, 70 Arctic Skua, 24 Grey Phalarope, one juvenile Little Gull, eight European Storm Petrel, 64 Arctic Tern and 65 Sandwich Tern. At the Fodry, Loop Head there were nine Golden Plover, five Wheatear and a Peregrine Falcon.(JNM)

At Lough Atedaun there was one Little Stint, two Curlew Sandpipers, three Ruff and two Knot.(Jeff Copner)
