A Fea’s Petrel was picked up over the slabs at the Bridges of Ross by Denis O’ Sullivan and then seen by all observers at the “Hollow” at the BOR at 11.45.(Brian Porter, Alan O’ Brien et al)

Also at the Bridges of Ross between 06.15-18.30 there were 3740 Cory’s Shearwater, 210 Great Shearwater, 55 Sooty Shearwater, three Balearic Shearwater, three Wilson’s Petrel, 80 Storm Petrel, 28 Sabine’s Gull, 37 Pomarine Skua, 24 Arctic Skua, three Great Skua, four Long-tailed Skua including one juvenile, 40 Whimbrel, 90 Arctic Tern and 14 Grey Phalarope.(BP, DO’S, PM, MS, SLM, GC, EF, AJ, TT, EMc, JC)

Off Ross Ringing Station between 08.30-11.30 a Wilson’s Petrel, 1900 Cory’s Shearwater, 326 Shearwater, 172 Sooty Shearwater, 15 Storm Petrel, two adult Sabine’s Gull, two adult Long-tailed Skua, two Pomarine Skua, four Arctic Skua, 26 Arctic Tern and eight Whimbrel were seen. (John N. Murphy)

A seawatch at the Fodry, Loop Head produced over 1200 Great Shearwater, 4600 Cory’s Shearwater, 84 Sooty Shearwater, 183 Arctic Tern, 12500 Manx Shearwater, 3200 Gannet and 2900 Fulmar.(Paul Troake)

A Reed Warbler BBB2703 ringed at Teifi Marshes, Ceredigion on 04/05/2024 was re-encountered at Shannon Airport Lagoon-77 days, 301km WNW.(Phil Brennan)
