At the Bridges of Ross today between 07.30-18.45 a Buff-breasted Sandpiper flew past in the early afternoon heading for Loop Head.(Ger Murray et al). Also during the course of the day there were five Wilson’s-petrel, two Leach’s-petrel, 12 Storm-petrel, two adult Long-tailed Skua, seven Arctic Skua, two Great Skua, four Sabine’s Gull, 21 Cory’s Shearwater, 12 Sooty Shearwater, one Balearic Shearwater, two Grey Phalarope,16 Whimbrel and six Arctic Tern.(Noel Keogh et al)

There were five Sandwich Tern, one Sabine’s Gull and 13 Whimbrel at Kilkee.(CC)
