Two of the three Glossy Ibis’s at Islandavanna John N Murphy

Three Glossy Ibis’s, three Curlew Sandpipers a Sanderling and two Kingfishers were at Islandavanna this afternoon. (James Organ, John N Murphy & Chris Cullen)

At the Bridges of Ross this morning (6:45 – 13:00) there were five Great Skua, seven Arctic Skua, 21 Sooty Shearwater, three Corys Shearwater, two Great Shearwater, seven Storm Petrel , one Leach’s Petrel, one Grey Phalarope, one Sabine’s Gull, one Great Northern diver, two Red-throated diver, six Common Scoter, three Sandwich Tern and a Whimbrel. At the Bridges of Ross this afternoon (14:00 – 18:00) there were four Arctic Skua, two Pomarine Skua, six Storm Petrel, three Grey Phalarope, one Black Tern and low numbers of Manxs Shearwater all day, peaking at about 180p/h. (PL)
