Glossy Ibis’s at Lough Atedaun James Organ

There were 27 Glossy Ibis at Lake Atedaun this afternoon. One of the birds had distinctive leucism on both wings. They were disturbed by heavy machinery and flew south/south east.(James Organ) There were two Glossy Ibis and two Kingfisher at Islandavanna this afternoon.(Cliff Baxter)There were 11 Glossy Ibis along with the two Whooper Swan at the Drumcliffe end of Ballyallia Lake this evening.(Ray Glynn, Nuala and Tom Lynch)

A seawatch at the Bridges of Ross between 08.30-15.30 produced 30 Leach’s Petrel, 20 Storm Petrel, 200 Cory’s Shearwater, 20 Great Shearwater, 50 Sooty Shearwater, 1000 Manx Shearwater per hour, 14 Sabine’s Gull, nine Arctic Skua, two Great Skua and nine Grey Phalarope.(Cathal Forkan) There were 80 Curlew Sandpiper, a juvenile Little Stint and a Black Tern at Quilty.(CF)
